I always struggle with the lower rim of the eye for some reason many woman refer to this as "the water line" for applying eyeliner it usually is pink but you still have to maintain the edge of the eyeball if that makes any sense? I rarely see any artists addressing this. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I love love love your painting style and you always explain things in a way I connect with!

I love oil painting. I started with oil and then went to acrylic and then went to watercolor and wash. But oil will always be my first love. And I love seeing your paintings.

So why do you use acrylic gouache instead of just acrylic?

I don't know if you've heard of her, but Sophie McPike likes to use inks, if I'm not mistaken. I think you may like her content and art.

This is incredible. It’s crazy to hear you critique yourself but you’re right, you have to be able to see that and work at it. I need to practice but watching these videos makes me want to be able to capture a likeness like this of my pup.

The thoughts about not achieving the outco e with watercolour that you hoped for is something I co e up against. And it is about practise but you seem very calm about it and work through it. I can feel defeated by it I must admit though your approach is very helpful. Such a beautiful dog. You have captured his serene face perfectly.

At 28:42 of the video, when you layer the paint over his left cheek, is the gouache watered down a bit so you can see the shadow layer underneath? I tried painting with gouache, there so much to learn, love your videos :)

Hi Emily!!! I was looking in to buying a my first Moleskine but I don’t know what the texture is… is it really smooth/no texture or is it almost sandy-like? I bought a sketchbook online and it’s really smooth. A little too smooth for my liking and I love a textured page for painting n stuffs. I’m sorry to bother, I just don’t wanna spend a lot of money on a sketchbook I can’t paint in!!!

Love your work, you inspire me to paint more You should try to make a portrait of a character with a different skin color, like with RPG, that has characters with blue or purple skin, I would love to see how you would do it 💖

@emhuesart9 күн бұрын
Hi there! My shop is currently closed as I've been working on other projects. The pins actually sold out and I don't think we'll have any more anytime soon, unfortunately 🥺 I am hoping to open the store soon with prints and stickers though! 💕 Thank you so much for your interest!

Hello Emily! As usual wonderful video! I was just wondering... a few videos ago you mentioned making a video about your digital art process, and I am very curious about your approach to digital art. Are you still planning on sharing a video about that subject? Thanks! And keep on the good work, I love your style! <3

Daler Rowney do a good gouache, but Windsor & Newton are my favourite just because of the high pigment content. Not cheap here in the UK, but really good quality.

girl i just love seeing artists doing artsy things, don't feel pressured to always post videos of finished pieces or often, ok? for me it doesn't matter if the video is a sketchbook tour, showing silly sketches, art processes, about ten different types of painting, art vlogs, art shopping, advices, etc etc, I'm already in! all of this is really inspiring for me as someone who struggles with doubts about whether or not i want to be an artist. i love your channel, and other people who also love your content won't mind if you post at your own pace. anyway thanks for all the amazing videos, i'm a beginner with markers and watching you paint with them teaches me a lot! xoxo

Hello from a fellow OCAD grad! I love watching oil painting videos but I totally relate to the hassle of setting them up! I used to use oils more since I adore their stunning luminescent quality, but they were never my main medium. Watching you paint with them though is a lovely treat! I'm hoping to try to get back into them with some new found free time this summer... Maybe your videos will be a good motivator :)
