Hi Rajat, I would like to know the reason for dividing by 1200 each and everytime.

Rate is given for 1 year. He converted it for 1 month. dividing by 100 is how you take percentage and divided by 12 because of 12 months per year. So, divided by 12X100, which is 1200.

Let *Rate of interest per year = x%* *Rate of interest for month =* (x/12)% = (x/12) * (1/100) = *x/1200*
