Congratulations! How exciting. I really want to give America a try so watching this/being a homeowner myself has given me some really good pointers.

As a Sydneysider, I’d highly recommend exploring the North West / Hills District. Since you’re not a permanent resident yet, you will not be able to take out a mortgage (at least with a great offer). The houses in suburbs such as Cherrybrook, Epping, Carlingford have great schools for the kids.

Hello, thank you so much for commenting. Cherrybrook seems to be where we keep going back to. The houses look lovely and its not a HUGE distance to the beach. We also are looking at castlehill so hopefully something is available in one of these!

Hi there, i have just qualified as a mental health nurse and am considering moving to Perth with my wife and two children any advice would be aswesome as in should i wait a year or two and get some nursing experience in the UK or should we try and make the move sooner? Also i am about to turn 38 if that would affect us moving?

I know your partner works in construction but would this work for others? My skill base is Social Work and we’re looking at moving.
