Piękne pejzaże i wspaniałe martwe natury. Widać przechodzenie od realizmu do impresjonizmu. Można też dostrzec, jak impresjonizm pejzaży staje się w niektórych realizacjach bliski abstrakcji. Natomiast w martwych naturach mistrzowskie jest ukazanie materii namalowanych obiektów: naczyń, kwiatów, ptaków i ryb. A także gry światła na przedmiotach. There is one particular piece missing from your presentation. That would be the Original that is displayed in my home. Anyone can search "Lady feeding Chickens" to see it. This was displayed about 1938 at the Art Institute Chicago and has been in our family since 1936. But, very nice to see most of Carlsen's work together. Thank you for putting this together.

thank you so much for doing putting this together! one thing i'd note is that the "zoom in" kinda hurts the painting slightly because the zoom reframes the picture, i understand it allows showing more of the texture and fine details but still, in the process you're losing information from the parts being "cut"

Great Painter, but the paintings too dark and dull to me too. Even bright colors in seascapes are too sad colors. It possibly was his inner condition. Anyways, you will not find Painters of the same level nowadays. Unfortunately...RIP, Dear Emil. You did an outstanding job.
