I think Emilie's biggest problem was that she was singing much lower than she was capable of. Even in this you can see that the higher the note the more comfortable and natural it looks and sounds

This vid was 4 years ago though, to be fair. She was just a kid - she went and trained at Drama school and became a legit soprano who now sings really beautifully! Dorothy just wasn't the part for her I guess :)

+SiouxLe She has improved drastically, yes! Unfortunately when I went to see the show in April last year, she really failed to hit the high notes Cosette sings, (such as the end of "A heart full of love" ) and a lot of people around me commented to one another they didn't particularly like her! x

We all knew who was going through to the next week, it HAD to be sophie, and Sophie did amazingly well, but when Danielle in the compition, they was no way she could win because danielle was just too good :)

I think Emilie lasted, as she seems to have more knowledge about music, and can pull off harmonies without any trouble. Whilst i was suprised with the lack of the ability of the other girls to pull off harmonies.

I think Emilie definitely out acted Sophie in this, though she didn't out sing her. I reckon if Emilie still has troubles with her singing a few years down the road, I definitely think she should just do straight-up stage acting and not musical theatre. I think she'll be good at that.
