I'm glad my Dad didn't equate ignorance to innocence. If I asked a question, he told me the truth (as he knew it - pre internet) and if he didn't know, we'd go to the library and find out together! Music was my favorite topic with him. 50s - 70s were great stories in song, and he'd explain the metaphors. I can hear a song once and know every word, but he wanted to make sure I understood what I was singing because 'words have power'.
@lkf87993 ай бұрын
My cousin (and her son) can do that! So jealous. I can remember most of the song if it's playing but just off the top of my head ... Nope.
@seanraines5871Ай бұрын
Words have power I learned the hard way. I decided to say I line in a song that was going around at the time. "she was licking my leg like it was corn on the cob" sitting next to my mom. I only said that line once because she almost stopped the car she was driving, she turned and said "what?" She told me that means this and I said oh! Yeah I didn't say it again lol

I saw Pretty woman for the first time last week and was wondering how could Julia Roberts do this role. She was forever Erin Brokowich for me until last week 😂
@spoiledwitch824 ай бұрын
The scenes showing "her body" wasn't actually hers like up against the car up close n all many scenes were actually a double she admitted because she didn't like her body enough to go through with them. Another good movie with Julia Roberts and Richard Gear is run away bride btw...
@Cloudminster4 ай бұрын
She was that character for us around 50 years old way before she got to Erin. That role in Pretty Woman made her reputation.

@spoiledwitch82 I always thought actors do their own nude scenes. Sam Rockwell's shower scene in moon made me workout my glutes for years. 😅
@spoiledwitch823 ай бұрын
@@ayhay4686 lol that's funny but no Julia Roberts had a body double playing. And to be honest I don't wanna ruin anyone's take on her but I also heard that she's not nice in real life. I even heard she bullied her sister for being over weight n her sister killed herself. Maybe she has really low self esteem although she probably has high standards as well. They do say that when people bully others it's because they are lashing out because of how they feel about themselves. I have like ten of her movies but when I heard that I didn't see her the same again. I'm sorry to bring it up but your comment made me think of the rest. I always liked her brother Eric Roberts. And I know his daughter Emma Roberts plays in a lot of stuff now too, Julia's niece.
@ayhay46863 ай бұрын
@@spoiledwitch82 It's funny but true. Also, Meryl Streep nude scene in don't look up was a big motivation to build my glutes, and made add avocados to my diet for that extra jiggle.

My father was the King of taking us kids to see inappropriate movies. He took me to see the Kentucky Fried Movie when I was 9. I really liked the extended porn film parody in that film. But the most awkward I ever felt watching a movie was years later when I was an adult. My grandmother had told my sister that she had heard about a really funny movie, There's Something About Mary. My sister then said we could watch it on pay per view. So my brother, sister, and I sat in the living room watching the movie with my 85-year-old grandmother. When we got to the masturbation scene, right after Ben Stiller finishes and is looking around for the ejaculate, my grandmother asks, “What's he looking for?” With out missing a beat, my brother says, “His watch, Grandma, he's looking for his watch.” I probably laughed harder at that answer than I had ever laughed before or since.
