I am so excited to be releasing This Woman official music video into the world. I hope you guys like it and I hope you SHARE it!
I cannot fully describe what it feels like to work on something for so many years, and to have it finally come into fruition, it’s just…an emotion overload. Excitement, nervousness, joy, SO MUCH HAPPINESS…
I have so many people to thank who have helped me in some way, shape or form, thus far. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have all of these good folks in my life, believing in my music, vision, and goals just as much as I do. I am an independent artist and these people have given me their time, resources, love, friendship, encouragement, and advice willingly. Grateful doesn’t even come close to how I feel.
I would like to give a few very special shoutouts and THANK YOU’S to everyone involved in the creation of this video.
First I’d like to thank Lee Kennedy (owner of Leipers Fork Distillery) Greg Pelham, Kendra Anderson and the entire LFD family. Shooting at such an incredibly BADASS location was a dream come true. If ya’ll ever find yourself in Leipers Fork TN be sure to swing by the Distillery for some of the best whiskey you’ve ever had.
Thank you to Cindy Sarver with Textile Revival (also another must visit in Leipers Fork) You have donated your time, your wine, your beautifully customized stage attire, and have always encouraged me to be nothing short of exactly who I am. I love you!
Kayla Davidson, I legitimately would have just buried my head in the sand had I not had you the day of the shoot. I couldn’t ask for a better personal assistant. You fed me, made me drink lots of water, organized time sheets, identification, placements, food, dranks, release forms, extras and literally anything else that came up, and you did it all with a big smile on your face. I love you friend!
Geo Shannon, thank you for being so handsome! But for real though, this was your first video/acting experience, and you came in and crushed it like you’ve been doing it your entire life. From style fittings, to run throughs, to show time...you were all in, committed and intentional. You brought the “handsome gentleman” to life!
Katrina Brooks, you KILLED the glam! Thank you for working so hard, staying after hours to see the job through, and making me feel like an absolute queen. Your talent is incredible, your makeup brushes smell delish, and you have great taste in country music! I can’t wait to get started on the next project!
Hailey Kelly, anyone who knows you, or has worked with you knows how incredible your photography is. I have been completely blown away with the stills you captured. Thank you for your time, for staying late when you had such an early morning the next day, for your generous heat, for believing in my music and this project, and for your creative contribution.
Thank you to all of my extras! Each and every one of you showed up DRESSED TO IMPRESS and ready to do whatever was needed. You guys smiled, laughed, danced and danced some more, and did it for HOURS…It meant more to me than ya’ll will ever know. Thank you for your time, your friendships, and for believing in my dream and project.
Last but not least I’d like to thank my videographer TC Stanton. We started talking about working together 5 years ago. Back when I was still waiting tables and writing song lyrics on napkins. Now we’ve released our first video and are gearing up to start shooting our second. Thank you for working so hard on this, for taking the time to listen to all of my crazy ideas and for doing everything you possibly can to bring my visions to life. This project never would have happened without you. Your talent truly amazes me.
XOXO
Emily
