Tomlin has screwed him so badly here! At training camp last year he was the best QB BY FAR out of the 3 and everyone that was there thought he had the #1 job LOCKED UP! Mitch’s best throw of the day was his helmet! 2 weeks later mediocre Mikey named Mitch the starter! I have been taking so much shit being a Mason fan since he got here for trying to tell people that he’s a LOT better than he’s been given credit for! I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to see just what an egomaniac Tomlin is bad has been. He didn’t want to draft Mason but Rooney, Colbert and Kahn all had 1st round grades on him and even drafted his college receiver so when Ben retired he was ready to take over. Well mediocre Mikey buried Mason on the depth chart and got rid of Washington! Then his buddy the Bills coach told him what a great QB Mitch was and Tomlin felt Mitch was a “ franchise guy” so instead of even giving Mason a fair shot at a QB competition he named Bitch the starter, and figured Mason would go away! Then Kahn called Mason and brought him back which Tomlin’s response was, “ that’s fine as long as he knows he’s the #3 AND THERE WILL BE NO QB COMPETITION!” WHY? He knew the whole time Mason was better! So if anyone thinks for a second that Tomlin made the call to start Mason your delusional, it was Kahn! The front office was sick of the offense and sick of having a good record then finishing terrible! They were sick of Mitch as QB which is why they moved Mitch to #3 on the depth chart almost immediately! This FA aren’t all butterflies and rainbows between Tomlin and the front office! Why do you think Tomlin gets so huffy when the media asks him about the QB depth chart? We need to keep Mason and ditch Tomlin! He almost made Mason feel like he couldn’t do it, almost had him selling real estate, all the while hurting our team with Mitch and Kenny was NOT READY for the starters job and may never be!

Been there with you. I kept telling people the injuries to the defense is on Tomlin. The season is longer and playing defense for the amount of time there on the field is tougher on them than the offense. Tomlin wears the cross, but a true Christian coach wouldn’t have done what he did to Mason. I use to support Tomlin, but what he did to Mason is inexcusable. He put our team through hell with Mitch and KP shit. I like KP, but never thought he was going to be QB 1 out the gate. Mitch beat us every time we played him whether in Chicago or HERE. If the standard is the standard. First Tomlin needs to list Mason as number 1QB and get this man paid. If not, Then Tomlin needs to sit out and think about his future. This franchise paid and stuck with Tomlin through all kids of adversity and paid him. Yet he doesn’t do the same for Mason. Last Mason saved Tomlin this year because if Tomlin decides to go elsewhere he will get paid more because of not having a losing season and making the playoffs with QB3. Without Mason he would have had a losing season and leaving with as 7 -10 record. I believe at the end of this season 1 or 2 will not be here for next season. Who do you think will be asked to stay? I hope Mason.

The thing that people with common sense could see that those who stick with mediocre Mikey with blinders on can’t, Every time he went with Mitch from game 1 LAST season Hurt the team! Not giving the best QB on the team even have a chance to win the #1 job it hurt the team! It’s a FACT that KAHN CALLED MASON and brought him back and told him that they still believed in him! Tomlin was willing to let a very talented young man that is better than 75% of the starting QBs in the NFL give up on the NFL and go sell real estate because of his ego is just disgusting! I used to support Tomlin too until I saw just what his true colors were the way he handled the Mason situation! I have been trying to tell people since he was drafted that he was a great QB but Ben and Tomlin started the hate train on him! It was like him telling Rooney, Colbert and Kahn, “ how dare you question my decision and go draft him anyway! “ Then this year, when Kahn called Mason and brought him back, and mediocre Mikey said” AS LONG AS HE KNOWS HES THE #3 AND THERE WILL BE NO QB COMPETITION !” And got Mitch an EXTENSION, WOW! Even though it hurt the team just to quench his ego! People would have to be blind not to see that Tomlin was willing to ride Mitch and Kenny right out of the playoffs!! and hurt the team shows his priority isn’t this team ITS HIM! Does anyone think that all of a sudden Mason just figured out how to play? Does anyone think that all of a sudden Tomlin said “ I have an idea to save the season, I’m going to put Mason in !” NO FREAKIN WAY! That call came from Kahn or Rooney! Probably Kahn because Rooney is such a lightweight he wouldn’t do it! Kahn becoming the GM was what will save this team! AndyWeidel is another HUGE part! He built the Eagles back to champions! The firing of Canada didn’t come from Tomlin either! It was like the Roswell UFO story! The first story that Rooney made the decision was accurate, then the next day Tomlin made the decision! YEAH RIGHT! I really hope people start seeing what he’s all about and I hope he IS going to Washington! Keep Mason and let mediocre Mikey go! Give Kahn Washington’s first round pick this year and the next 3 years, along with a few 2nd and 3rds now that we don’t have to get a QB and build an O line and the rest of the missing pieces, and a REAL coaching staff and OC and build an offense around Mason and we WILL WIN A SUPERBOWL NEXT T YEAR! Who knows, maybe Mason can pull it off this year!😁😁 He used to outplay Mahommes in big time college games when they met! I’m just very happy for that young man! God knows he deserves it after how he was treated! Imagine if he was selling insurance and we….. well we would already be DINE FOR THE YEAR!! LMAO!😂🤣

Great interview, Emily! You can’t help but feel for this guy. Especially, if you’ve been on this journey with him since the beginning. That 2019 roster is definitely not the roster we have now. If anyone remembers, AB got traded that offseason. Bell left in free agency. The o-line was older. The offense was Ben’s offense. Week 2, out with the elbow. We signed Donte Moncrief to fill the hole that AB left, but dude was a BUST. We’ve got more weapons, and Mason has had time to learn and hone his craft. When the helmet incident happened, I felt like he got blackballed… I never had any resentment or negative feelings towards Mason. Fast forward to week 18 of 2020 season against Cleveland, I thought he showed significant improvement. Even more so now. Rooting for you, Mason!!!!!

It's sad, you can clearly tell that he knows the steelers are going to screw him over after the playoffs. Refusing to comment on his experience over the past few games and if he'd like to stay in Pittsburgh, it's telling. Tomlin and the Rooney's have really put him through mental trauma.

Mason. Rudolph should be given the number one spot without question. End of discussion! With Mason in the lineup, the offense actually scored points which means we could actually win games. Mason can do the job he’s got the talent. He’s got the smarts. He’s got the capability give the man a chance. Go Mason! I sure hope he comes back next year. Yeah, Mason definitely could be a starter for us or he is the next Charlie batch like helping and coaching and talking to players and relaying messages when he’s not on the field so that would be awesome for Mason. If he could not get the starter position I think from what we all seen there’s a very good chance that he could that he could end up the starter next season and then it’s Kenny’s job to win but all his experience knowing our system I think definitely don’t let them go keep him build theO line Get a veteran as a third stringer. Get Naj and Pat Fry Muth on their fifth year, a few key defensive players and we’re in the AFC championship plan to go to the Super Bowl….
