Emily's Story - Autism Unlimited

Meet Emily - a shining example of personal growth and determination. When she first joined Futures two years ago, she didn’t feel comfortable stepping through the door - she was in tears, overcome with anxiety, and reluctant to talk to anyone.
With the support of our team and coaches, who spent the time getting to know her and learning her aspirations, everything changed.
She began to engage with the programme, taking part in travel training, staying overnight in our Independent Living Experience, joining her peers in social activities, and excelling at her work placement. Now, Emily enjoys travelling independently and has secured her first paid job!
Today, she embraces a new version of herself; someone is confident and in control of their life and future. We couldn’t be prouder of her journey.
