Mark, thank you for this incredible review! I'm so honored and touched. I worked so hard to make this record, wondering if anyone would notice the sequencing of songs or all the nerdy production details, not to mention the depth of the songwriting-- the thing I care most about. I can't tell you how good it feels to hear everything I hoped to accomplish with "Traveling Mercies" reflected back to me. You get it on every level! Thank you for sharing my music with your audience. :)

Oh no Emily, it is us who should thank you for sharing your music with the world. One of the most incredible collection of songs ever written. This is what country music should be, honest, real, and emotional. Nashville should take note.

Thank you so much for making the album of the year. Not just in Mark's mind but in mine as well, this is one of the most incredible albums I've ever heard. You're now my favourite female act across all genres, matching up to Jason Isbell in my mind. Really looking forward to seeing what you put out in the future!

This album sounds like a warm, intimate, much needed hug. And I need a fucking hug after hearing some of these songs. Goddamn. Thank you so much for reviewing smaller artists I wouldn't have discovered otherwise

Wow another 9/10! Maybe it's just me but the last time I saw this was in the To Pimp A Butterfly review.

Anyone remember Mark ever talking about movies, art, or culture?
@riddypr5 жыл бұрын
Music can be considered a form of art, and he does talk about culture a fair bit, albeit not as the main subject of his videos (although there may be something planned in the future about that). Also his last movie review was 3 months ago.

Sorry it's a 5/10 country and folk music don't mix
@Antonio-mt2bo5 жыл бұрын
Pop and country/rap and country arguably mix worse for me
@lachlanneville71382 жыл бұрын
Country is literally just folk music with fiddle and pedal steel and mandolin.
