I'm guessing we're going to see a receipt at some point that shows a number of vodka tonics and they're going to claim karen and only karen could have consumed them all based on all their witnesses impeccable memory of exactly what everyone else present was drinking.

I have sooo many questions about this trial... How can Chris Albert remember EXACTLY what John O'Keefe was wearing that night but not what he, himself was wearing?? And how is it that Chris and his wife remember the EXACT same details about some things but not others? Did they watch prior testimony? Chris said Karen took her glass from the first bar and drank out of it for the rest of the night at the 2nd bar. So she never ordered another drink? Did she just like their glasses or is it a convenient detail about the glass that was found? Why have 3 witnesses for the state been caught in lies on the stand?? Why lie if you have nothing to hide? Why did Brian Albert sell the home he had lived in all of his life, rehome his dog, and retire after John O'Keefe's death?? If JO lost 3 liters of blood, where is the rest of it?? It wasn't at the scene and it wasn't in their red solo cups. Where is JO's hat, shoe, and phone??? Why are all the prosecution's witnesses so sus??? Why do they try to downplay their friendships and how close they are to each other? That shouldn't be happening, just tell the truth. There are so many more but those are just today's questions.

I still consider it possible (albiet not remotely likely) that KR hit him, because (if I recall the prosecution opening correctly, which I might not) there will be expert evidence that tends to prove it, along with the tail light pieces. If that evidence is _extremely_ strong and the defense underdelivers on their opening in countering it, prosecution wins. I don't think that's going to happen because I don't think KR hit him, but I cannot rule it out yet.

@@delta3244 keep in mind that the prosecution has, in the past, promised a lot and under delivered. It was claimed there is video and receipts of Karen drinking 9 drinks at the bar; that there is Ring footage of the incident; that she said these specific things at the scene, yet no one documented it at the time? We've been through the witnesses at the bar, including the bartender and been shown a receipt for $16... where is the video of her drinking 9 drinks with receipt proof?? So much of this case is based on supposition so as to pull focus away from Colin and other Alberts. Why are they trying so hard to act like Colin wasn't there after midnight, when it is getting proven that their memories are unreliable. I wanted to watch this as unbiased as possible. I've learned more than the jury from social media/KZbin, but even without that, especially after today, this couple left a burr in my boot about their son and lies that only the truth could resolve. When the prosecution asks when Colin came home after Chris did, Chris says within 10 minutes very directly and quickly (45:10) and when the defense asks the same question, he estimates 15 minutes (1:47:44) and then says he was still asleep when Colin opened the door in which case how would he know it even happened and finally he doesn't seem to remember anything after being so certain during the prosecution's questions. The timing is very critical because it determines whether or not Colin would've seen the body on the lawn when leaving the house. I also wonder if the defense has more on the keep off my lawn stuff or whether they'll give up on that knowing the witnesses will stonewall.

Replay crew today, my youngest was just diagnosed with mono :( I got major "mean girl", "you can't sit with us" vibes from Julie. The way Chris and Julie Albert wanted to answer faster than a question could form from the time period of going to bed to when Colin got home was sooooo weird! Both of them had the exact same reaction and Julie only got weirder talking about Brian Jr.'s birthday donuts. Something happened that they do not want anyone to know about in my opinion. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

Replay crew again. This trial is making my brain smooth. Why does every single witness act like answering a question about who they're friends with is going to get them executed? Why is the Commonwealth objecting to "how long have you known xyz?" and "what time did your son wake you?" Why are they so afraid of the timeline? With comprehensive order at all, really? At the end of every court day I ask myself two questions: What the hell is even this trial? Is there going to be a prosecution or are we just going to get a defense twice? I still do not understand why the Commonwealth brought this to court. Today I hit my limit with the judge, too.

The way the judge allows law enforcement officials and their family members to answer "sure" without correction, the prosecution witnesses are so snappy with the defense attorney and suddenly become SUPER FORGETFUL and straight up lie on the stand, and how quick the prosecutor is to object and judge is to sustain, even though that's appropriate, really lends to the idea of a "conspiracy/convenient outsider."

Agreed and I think we all suspect who that person or maybe even person(s) might be. Screams back channel.

Just ordered a Law❤Nerd t shirt for my nephew in law (niece’s hubby) is awaiting notification if he got a judgeship in London, England. His wife’s maternal grandfather was a judge at the Old Bailey so keeping up with family history.

So all these people who said they were friends with KR went to BA’s house but we’re comforting each other and not the hysterical girlfriend.

I can definitely see all those women being jealous of Karen Read.

@andreaj2621 I think you're 100% correct, they were jealous/envious of KR maybe for vain reasons, maybe because of her relationship with the victim. How they talk about her sounds very "frienemies"

@@mariawiswell2506 It sounds like she was rich, good-looking, in a loving relationship, and with a great career. Jealousy definitely feels like it could be a factor.

@@pistolpete8231 How would we know? I'm not saying that to be contrarian. I mean it like -- what if she's just a bad judge? I've definitely disagreed with her on some of her rulings. She also has a way of doing things that probably looks better in her head than it comes across. How do we know that it's not just that?

replay crew here to say that once again the prosecutor's repetition has made me zone out to the point i have no idea what points he's trying to make, so i can't imagine how the jury is feeling

EMTs testimony has already been placed in question. Most of the defense of the last two days placed the EMTs testimony in question.

C Albert definitely felt like an important witness, and the constant objections made me only lock in more. The prosecution has not proven anything to me at this point.

The furious quickness with Chris refused to admit ANYTHING about John not liking people being on his lawn is interesting. Seems like it was an integral part of his personality from Chris’ family perspective. But he was willing to out and out deny that as soon as he felt even a hint of risk to his kid. He would bury a body for his kid…so have no doubt.

That also goes with what the victim's friend Michael said about him, and how he shoveled the snow out of the garage for him the next morning, because John liked things in their place.
