I’ve just been made aware that Bared are more expensive in USD than I said in my video, sad 😢 maybe because they are an Aussie brand, hopefully they open up in the US one day too ❤️ If you’re doing your own research I recommend looking up brands on google that are “podiatrist designed” or “with arch support” and going from there 🙏 💋 kisses from me and Fanta 😽 xoxo Edit: these were not gifted ❤️ I purchased these for myself xx

I broke my foot in an accident and though it healed I was still feeling considerable pain. After trying on about 30 brands of shoes I found the Vania sandals by the Aetrex brand. Within two weeks the limp and pain stopped. The sandals have a built-n arch support and are really casually stylish. I was so happy I purchased 2 other pair of shoes from Aetrex. I empathize with everyone else that is having foot pain and hope this helps you and anyone reading this. Please continue to share info on brands that are comfortable.

I’m so happy to see one of my favorite fashion KZbinrs giving barefoot shoes some love! I made the switch 1.5 years ago and it’s made all the difference. I went an entire pregnancy with no back pain and attribute this to the shoes (because one day I wore non-barefoot shoes and was in tons of pain until I took them off-immediate relief). I wish more people knew about them and we could just see their shape as normal because they do match the shape of our amazing feet. ☀️

Hello: I'm from Canada (Calgary, Alberta). Your shoe suggestions were quite helpful. I will have to see if I can find some those brands here in Canada. I have wide feet (but only just slightly wide). I have found some brands that are comfortable for me. 1) VIVAIA Square toe Mary Janes 2)POPPY BARLEY round toe lug sole with velcro strap on the back (they have regular width & wide) extremely comfortable. 3) ON CLOUD sneakers from Australia, I can walk in these all day long. I am 69. These may not be for everyone as everyone has a different level of comfort, but perhaps worth looking into.

My daughter found a beautiful pair of leather loafers (Steve Madden) at a thrift store, they look like they had never been worn. My Dad owned these shoe stretchers, very similar to what you have, he's had them for decades. It stretched out the loafers and I also use a slip in arch support in them. My arches have started to fall and were literally causing holes from the bones in my feet to wear all the way through the skin. I had no idea this could even happen to a person, I was so worried. But then I ordered some arch supports and some other little foot pads and started wearing those in my shoes, I haven't had a problem with my feet. The arch supports were not even very expensive.I turned 60 this year. So sorry to hear about your arthritis in your toe and other joints. I'm glad you got some nice arch supporting shoes. I need to check that brand out.

Thank you Emily- you are a wonderful ambassador for us ladies with problematic feet❤ I have bunions which have caused my second toes (which were already longer than my big toes) to become misshapen. I wear soft gel toe seperators which stay in place and are inexpensive and comfortable. I like the Skechers with the memory foam insoles and knitted stretch uppers which i generally wear with my jeans. Mens trainers are wider and an option for ladies with larger feet, I like Brooks Adrenaline for my long walks. I also have arthritis in my big toes and a small amount in my hips which had given me pain for a while. However, my physio advised that my hip pain was likely being caused by not exercising my median glutes. A very simple daily exercise helped relieve the pain. As you rightly say, joint issues are very individual but good footwear is a must for us all. Thank goodness you are being sensible and addressing this at a young age ! Unlike myself who hobbled about in heels for the sake of fashion 😮 I'm 55 now and far more sensible! One product i love are the soft squidgy gel toe seperators which i wear between my big and second toes. They are available online approximately £4 or 8 Australian dollars each. Love your channel. The rail of dresses look beautiful- hope there is a dress video soon despite it being early Winter in the UK ❤

Could you share the excercise for your hips? I also have absurdly problematic feet, and recently diagnosed arthritis 😢
@gillianm9367Ай бұрын
@@jguti1975Hi there, the hip exercise I do is to activate the median glute. Often hip pain can result from weak glutes. I stand holding the back of a chair and lift my right leg back keeping it straight or with slight bend in the knee. Instead of lifting the leg straight back, do so at an angle to the right so that you feel the median glute working ( the area where your back jeans pocket would be) Repeat 10 times then repeat with other leg. Another good exercise is to stand sideways holding on to back of chair and lift your right leg up with your toes pointed and imagine drawing a figure of 8 with your foot. This will keep your hip joint flexible as you are moving your leg in every direction. You can alternate how high/low your leg is moving as it draws the number 8. Repeat with other leg. Never overstretch or do anything which causes pain. Follow an anti inflammatory eating plan avoiding sugar and overly processed foods as it does make a difference! Take care ❤

I love Vivaia as a brand for comfort and style. The Melissa/Regina Pro style has an elegant squared toe which gives room for the toes to spread, and broad heel for good stability. After two surgeries and arthritis I thought I could never wear pretty shoes again, but these are lovely and I don't even need my orthotics inside due to the great cushioning and arch support. They are also made from recycled/eco-friendly materials (though sadly in China!)

Hi! I have been recently diagnosed with arthritis that really damaged my right ankle, as well as plantar fasciitis and big toe and heel pain. Could you tell me more about these Shoes? Do they come with good orthotics, what kind of support do they offer etc? Thanks a lot!
@cosennetАй бұрын
@@jguti1975 Hi there, really I can't add anything to my comment above. I find they have very good arch support (I have high arches), cushioning all along the sole - the forefoot is especially important for me as my arthritis means I feel like I'm walking on my bones! The style I purchased - Melissa and Regina Pro - has a broad heel meaning my weak ankles are more stable. My feet are quite narrow but flare out where my toes begin and I have a tailor's bunion (that's a bunion on my little toes) so I need a wide box, which these have. One thing to note is that the insole is not removable; I bought a half size larger thinking I'd need room for my orthotics, but in fact I don't need them in this shoe. To be clear, the best for my feet, sadly, are trainers and hiking boots with my orthotics. I use the Vivaia when I want something more elegant - going to dinner or theatre - though I have danced in them! I wouldn't walk around town in them all day. Reading your message, your feet are very different to mine and they may not suit. But if you think they might, you could just give it a try - shipping & returns are free as I write. Hope this helps, and good luck!

But when you factor in all-leather which gives you the ability to have them resoled it makes a comfortable, stylish, and functional shoe affordable. Amortize the $269 across 5 years - even if you just wear them 30 times, across 365 days that works out to under $2 per wear. That is a great deal!

You said you weren't qualified to diagnose foot issues but yet you seem to think that people with foot problems wore to small shoes. I inherited bunions from my mother. Her sisters had bunions to. Finding out from doctors the bunions are from a muted gene. They are inherited.
@gillianm9367Ай бұрын
Bunions can be genetic but wearing poorly fitting shoes can definitely exacerbate the problem. I believe I possibly inherited mine from my lovely Grandma yet I certainly didn't help by wearing high heels and other poorly fitting footwear over many years. I wish I had listened to advice when younger as am very restricted with my choices now. I wear mens trainers as they are wider (and I have a larger foot size- 43- which luckily gives me that option) I wear Skechers slip ins with memory foam and the knitted uppers to allow my bunion the extra room and comfort. I wear low heeled soft leather boots with good arch support and in hot weather I wear walking sandals with velcro adjuster straps across the toes and ankles. I didn't just wear bad shoes when younger- I also walked long distances in them as lived a good mile from the bus stop 😮 However my podiatrist said there was most definitely a genetic component 😢
