Makeup tip I like to use : Mix a tiny bit of primer and your blush on the back of your hand, then apply with sponge or brush and it will last all day!
@iridizousa85785 жыл бұрын
Can that work with a powder blush too? I guess not because you'd have to really dig in but I'm really inexperienced with makeup so I don't really know 🙈
@Alex-ge8cp5 жыл бұрын
@@iridizousa8578 I don't know if they would mix well or not but a good way to get just a little bit of powder out without digs chunks out is to use a spoolie brush (or an old, cleaned mascara brush) and just lightly rub it. It makes a fairly fine powder and it doesn't mess up the pan too much
@ValiantVicuna4 жыл бұрын
I do this with my lipsticks! I'll mix my lipstick and usually a glowy primer on my fingers and mush it all together and pat that on the higher points of my face. Works amazingly with spot concealing to create a quick fresh looking base that matches your lips

If you’ve ever watched Allie Glines, she uses a beauty blender after using her brush sometimes to smooth out any lines that the brush might leave, and it does actually work.

OK Emily....for the 50 plus years I've been wearing mascara, I "BEND" the wand. (I've only had a couple that would not bend and I've only broken maybe 2). Insert the brush into the tube...pull it out just so that the brush is still in the tube and very carefully bend the wand slightly. You will never have an issue doing your opposite eye. Hold your hand down in front of your face and point the tip of the wand toward the inner corner and apply away!!!!! Didn't see your original message for ideas but this truly is "life changing". Now...I'm going to try the tip about primer on my eyebrows!!!!! Mine are so sparse with very blonde tails - just know this will work! This was a great video. xoxo patti

Love this video! If you ever do a second one - when curling my lashes, I curl at the base, then go slightly further from the root and turn the angle of the curler up a bit, then a third time further and angled more. It creates more of an even curl rather than a harsh angle! I know you have stubborn lashes, so I would be curious to see if this makes a difference for you! I have always switched hands for mascara, too! Then you never get mascara on the bridge of your nose by mistake! I also always use a lash comb (I like the real techniques one) for clumps instead of a needle because I'm nit-picky, but not THAT confident that i won't poke an eye out lol

This was so much fun to watch !!!! Many of the tips you use, are what I do all the time. I do the powder, setting spray...powder, setting spray too...but Don't powder under my eyes when doing this. My under eyes are so dry, so I don't do that area. I also use eye primer under my lower lashes. It really helps hold powder shadows being used on the lower lash line. I love the blotting the lips/blush technique. Will have to try that one after seeing how beautifully it pulled your entire look together !!!! I Do NOT recommend using the pin to separate lashes. I, along with pretty much everyone else, did this all the way back in high school and continued on into our adult lives doing it. Until....a friend of mine poked herself *IN* the eye with the pin & ended up with a severe infection in her eye that came close to blinding her in that eye. Never Again have I or will I use a pin to separate them. Thanks so much Emily and all those that contributed their tips & tricks. Have an amazing Sunday ❤

That was fun! I’ve actually gone back to applying foundation with a brush and then using the sponge after. It gives a lovely finish to produce. Also use the same brush on top of powder to kinda melt everything together.

The color combo on your eyes is one that I would've never thought of, but I LOVE it!

So Emily, no joke: as I'm watching the part where the safety pin is coming closer to your eye, an AD comes on! My immediate thought is "Oh no! She done lost an eye!! It's a technical difficulties cut away!" No more perfect place for an ad 😂 Seriously though, love you and this video! Glad your eye is okay, and maybe stick to a spoolie?? My heart can't take those shenanigans! 😉

As a kid, I watched my mom do the safety pin trick in the passenger seat of a moving car. It was pretty horrifying.

Yeah, do NOT do this! I scratched my cornea accidentally, just using a regular eyelash comb, and it has never completely healed, 6 years later. Now I have to put prescription ointment in that eye every night.

I’ve been using a safety pin for over 20 years. Lol i think I poked my eye twice.

I will say that a few if these tips, i have been doing. The blush on your forehead/nose/chin i have been doing since i started wearing Make up at age 14 (i am 43 now) my mom always did, when I started watching tutorials and didn’t see that step, well it was weird but i never stopped doing that. The reverse order for eyeshadow i have been doing for about a year. I can’t remember which you tuber taught me that. And within the last month i started applying my foundation with the stipple brush and then wetting the sponge with ELF setting spray to finish the blend. Loved this video.

Even though I wear falsies every day, I used to have a mascara trick. I would use the same type of mascara, but have 3 tubes all of varying ages. Start with the oldest, curl, the middle aged, curl again. Then the newest tube on top. Curl lasts all day!
