Don’t forget our other essential workers such as grocery clerks, law enforcement, etc. My husband works for a grocery store and I worry about him every day as he goes out to work and is surrounded by hundreds of people.

Praying for you and your hubby. My husband is a Medical Technologist working in the lab at one of our local hospitals. He is the only one working (or going) outside the home right now and has other health issues as well as being 15 months post op from brain surgery in December 2018. I worry about him, but realize that he is very highly educated and is well placed to minimize his risk. I pray for him nearly constantly and make sure he gets everything he needs to keep himself healthy and then trust the rest to God. Try to keep your worry manageable so you and your hubby can stay safe and healthy together. Also putting you and hubby on my prayer list. Also, thank your husband from me for doing what must be an even more stressful job right now.

I live with my grandmother and mom. My grandmother is in her 90's and my mom has multiple sclerosis, so both are high risk and aren't leaving the house. I have to brace myself everytime I have (stress on HAVE) to leave, because I'm terrified that I'll bring the virus into the house. I hope people will fully connect with the message that social distancing is the only thing we can do until there's a vaccine. Stay safe and stay smart!

Kelli, I have added you and your mother and grandmother to my prayer list. You are doing everything you can, I am sure, to keep your family self and well. Make sure to take good care of you because Mom and grandma need you and you need them. Get as much rest as possible, eat as well as you can, and get lots of fluids (water is best, but all fluids hydrate to varying degrees). Try not to let those worrying thoughts bring on more stress than you need. Stress and anxiety are good for us if they motivate us to do something positive in response to it. I have added you and your family to a prayer list I started and will pray for you and so many others daily at the very least. You are not alone. We are all in this is together. God bless I will say a prayer for you and your mom and grandma. I actually pray every night for the elderly and people at high risk! But I will say a special prayer for yall. Me and my son (hes four) have been home for about two weeks now. I have taken him outside in our own yard when it's been warm. My husband goes out when he has to, when we have to have something, or he has had to go to work a couple times. Hes mostly worked from home though (thank God he can work from home a bunch. But does have to go in sometimes) anyway when he comes in I make him take off all his cloths, wash his hands, then shower, then I disinfect everything again. If I touch anything he brings in, groceries and stuff, I will wash my hands. So if you do have to go out just come in, take off your cloths, put them in the wash. Take a shower, anything you have to touch spray lysol or wipe with disinfecting wipes. I'm sure you already know all that. And I'm sure you're being very careful. Again God bless and you and your family will be in my prayers. (Sorry for rambling, lots of coffee today and stuck inside. Lol)

As am I! I just say I'm self isolating to my friends. I did have heart surgery so I am "in time out" as my hubby laughingly calls it. He's so worried that he got takeout last weekend & cleaned every package with a Clorox wipe, put my shake in a diff glass & wouldn't let me help put away the groceries this time! Take care & hang in there, while everyone else is going shack racky, we're just doing our normal day! We're the lucky ones

Oh thank goodness! I was worried about you! My husband was just relocated. We are in NY and hes an essential hospital worker. The fact that he's in contact daily with many patients then coming home to us makes me nervous. But now they temporarily closed his MRI location and moved him. In Texas, we have the same rules. We’ve been getting take out twice a week, only because we want to support local businesses. I think restaurants are being required to be even more careful with sanitation so I don’t think it’s a huge issue??

Great idea! I don't do my makeup every day, so I have a lot of stuff from years ago. I do thin it out, but only if it is visibly different from when I first used it and if it smells bad. I;m also a bit of a pack rat and am trying to break the habit of keeping things I will NEVER use.

Today is the first time in ages that I put makeup on! It really did change my mood and motivation for the day. My older son and husband are both now home from work and I am working from home and trying to get my eleven year old back on a schedule and doing his online assignments. The hubby and older son have gotten all of the supplies needed to build a shed in our backyard to help with reorganizing our garage and downsizing the extra “stuff” that we have. It is a great time to do things around the house to make life better after all of this has passed us by. Plus it will keep us all sane and out of each others space! We have only ordered take out once last week and the rest I have been cooking daily. We have instituted Bub’s routine of straight to the shower when you come home from any public contact and showering and putting your clothes in the wash. I swear that none of us will be sick.

I also love the time in the morning putting on my makeup - it is relaxing and makes me happy! I would like to mention that there are a lot of people who cannot stay home that are not first responders or in the medical profession. We are the service industries that support many of these entities. Transportation, payroll, medical services, etc. Out of the 4 full time workers in my immediate family 3 of us have to go to work every day. We practice as many of the CDC guidelines, including closing our lobby to visitors but just are doing our best to clean all surfaces, use a lot of soap and hand sanitizers.

Emily, my stepmom works in the medical field and they had a whole seminar on how to order takeout safety. as soon as you get home take the food out of the bag and throw all the packaging away. wash your hands and microwave your food for about 20-30 secs. the heat will kill any bacteria. more than likely the heat from the food already killed it but the virus can live on the packaging... hope this helps!

Cerave is awesome I use that for my Moisturizer on face and body,...it’s awesome. I’m 74 years old and I look pretty good. I used to waste my money for years on expensive products that didn’t work as good as cerave. Swear by it! It contains ceramides.

I stress everyday as my Mama suffers from COPD and chronic bronchitis and is working 40+ hrs at the grocery store she has been at for 20+ years. I am also still working Togo’s for my restaurant, so times can be stressful. Our restaurant takes many new precautions to make it safe and I can promise you that doing Togo is ok! We're trying to keep ordering delivery/takeout when we can here in Boston, although at this point most of the local places we want to support are closed. My partner and I are in good health, so while we're being cautious (I think we read the same articles - transferring the food and disposing of packaging, cleaning surfaces the packaging touched, etc.) we're also still trying to support the local places we love by ordering from them when we can, and trying to purchase gift cards where they're available. We want all these phenomenal places in our neighborhood to be able to come back when this is all over! Thanks for this little dose of warm and friendly calm :)

Praying for you, too, Emily and family. Your videos always make me smile. My daughter turned me onto your videos a few years ago, and we have a lot of fun learning new make-up tips and tricks. Mostly, though, you are such a warm and caring, relatable wife and mom, and we enjoy "spending time" with you. As for the issue with take out food, you have to assess your risk factors. If you and your family are healthy with no chronic illnesses (and aren't taking taking corticosteroids and other anti-inflammatory medications), you should be okay getting delivery or take out. As Erica G. states below, you can have it dropped off and go out and bring it in yourself. I am a nurse, and will probably use some alcohol spray (cleaned out and use an old Suave spray hair gel bottle) on the outside of the bags and food containers next time I get take out. Just like with other spray disinfectants, you have to let surfaces dry completely before touching them again. Hope this helps and sorry for taking over your comment section.

I had a couple of days of high anxiety because of the current situation but I’m home with my two babies (they’re 14 and 9, but they are my babies). I had to get it together because my 9 year old son was feeding off my anxiety and he was getting worried. Once I saw that I was negatively affecting him I got real with myself and reminded myself that we have been very careful and we’re doing everything we can to stay healthy. They have school and I’ve had the joy of teaching them (I’m a teacher but I’ve never gotten to teach my own children at school, obviously). We have been creative, active, happy, and content. They are both missing their friends (especially my 14 year old daughter) and teachers, and I can tell that they both have cabin fever, but I’m doing everything I can to keep them moving and busy.

There hasn't been as much of a change for me in this, I'm agorophobic and have social anxiety, so the only times I usually leave my house anyways is for groceries. However, I do understand the antsyness of authority figures saying you HAVE to stay at home making things harder. I haven't had to change anything and still I find myself rather antsy to go out just because I'm not supposed to. 😬 I find myself embracing my anxiety to stave off this rebellious feeling rather than fighting my anxiety like I usually do, so that's an interesting shift lol. I’m so sad about what’s going on with the virus. I ordered a few different things from Target and had it brought to my car. I needed shopping therapy. They brought it to my car. But I felt so sad the girl that brought it out was so young and was wearing gloves I wanted to cry 😢 I felt bad that she was bringing out non essential things that I just wanted to buy to make me feel better. I haven’t been out in 2 weeks. Then I cleaned the packaging with disinfecting wipes sprayed the makeup palette with alcohol. I’m a wreck so anxious! But playing with makeup calms me down. Oh my. A tornado did hit Mississippi. You dark haired gals are so lucky when it comes to putting bronzer at the top of the hairline. Because once I get the food, I put it in a new container and pop it on the microwave for a couple of minutes. Or in the oven. That should kill any bacteria if necessary.

Just ordered takeout through Uber Eats and they actually have an option for the delivery person to leave it at the door which is awesome! Unpacked the food and threw the bags immediately away and wiped the counters down and washed my hands before actually handling the food. Should be fine though, they say it won’t affect the food, especially if you reheat your food before you eat it. Stay well!❤️

Hi Emily! I hope you and your family are doing well and everyone is healthy. Always fun to shop your own stash. We've been trying to keep busy and doing things like going for walks or having movie nights, building Lego sets, baking...etc...Thankfully my husband works mostly from home so he's here and I homeschool my son (he's 16) so he's been chugging along with his school work. We've only done take out once so far and they had a separate food truck, they brought the food to the car and you paid by tapping your card on their card machine.
