Well it was a no drama zone. Hopefully the next big scandal will come along and this stupidity over opinions on makeup will be out of here soon. I know hoping everyone will mature and know it's only make up. Thinking we could accomplish way more helping each other rather then attacking, that is like asking for my daughters owl to drop off her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. No one wants to be attacked so why they all thinking doing it to someone else is ok, well its beyond me.

It always seems like the brands we are overwhelmed with are the ones that send PR. Now that PR is so prevalent, many youtubers only do videos with those brands. You’re one of the few that actually bring other brands in and buy things regularly.

Yay! I love these underrated brands! Every time I go to any store I realize just how many makeup brands there are but everyone only talks about a select few. I generally like to try products I've never heard anyone talk about. They deserve to be used too!
@mayrajimenez71476 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way, but I mostly think that it’s because nowadays beauty gurus only talk about stuff they get in pr. Only a few go on and buy stuff and test it.

Mayra Jimenez i totally agree! I see so many only talk about PR that was sent to them. It really sucks when there's sooo much makeup that goes unloved.
@sarahwithstars6 жыл бұрын
So guys...who is going to say it.... The unsung brands are the ones who don't send loads of free stuff. People talk about what they have, brands who send PR stay current (whether products are good or absolute shit, no such thing as bad press) and then the "hidden gems" are just normal shit that normies use all the time but don't have any hype because it wasn't free!! THANK GOD we have Emily to wade through ALL products, all the PR and all the stuff she still buys to actually compare across the entire board, not just compare products of the biggest richest brands who send out the most free stuff You have more than my heart Emily, you have my trust. Entirely. Xxxxx

I’ve been using Pacifica makeup for over two years. You should try the Pacifica Pink Nudes palette-beautiful matte shades. I bought mine on the Ulta website for $16.95 on sale, regular price is $19. Their mascaras and lip glosses are all terrific and all non-toxic and vegan. Grea5 for people like me who are sensitive and very allergic. Not recommended for people allergic to coconut because their entire line is coconut based. The Solar panel is nice, but those shadows are definitely not for older, wrinkled eyes-I find it’s too much shimmer and emphasizes my wrinkles. Great to see more people looking at Green and non-toxic beauty.

FiftyPlusBeauty I’ve tried a few “white” “nudes” etc.. types of eye liner to where in my water line bc I heard it helps to open the eyes up, but it’s hard for me to find one that doesn’t look like a big/bright line of WHITE or NUDE on my water line :( soooo, not sure what I’m doing wrong, :(...... Either the color is wrong, or my application process is wrong, but the water line is the water line..... :/ or maybe it’s just due to what I’m used to, which is darker eyeliner!!!! I use black normally, I’ve tried to use other colors but I always go back to black!!!

I really, really love this sort of concept and this focus on overlooked products. As a consumer that makes purchases largely based on the sorts of reviews a product receives, I will often pass on a product if I can't find any information about it. It's just generally a riskier purchase for me as I've not got an insight into how that product will work, and so I'll typically just put my money elsewhere. It's nice to know a little about products I might be inclined to skip over because of this.

They’re 15 and 17 now, and both son and daughter do their own laundry, cook, and clean sometimes. It makes them more self confident and I never made it seem like a big deal. I think it was just lovely using dreft, and caring for their itty bitty clothes. Picking out the outfits, and being a proud Mom. I miss dreft .......

I would like more experiments with Ulta eyeshadows! I admit I don’t have a HUGE collection, but I have a good range of shades and I’ve been using them for years. My favorite shade (that I’ve been using the longest) is a duo of purple shades, they are more on the blue-purple end, and my mom and I consider them “neutral” shades because I use them so often, and they look so good on me! I discovered recently that they repackaged (and maybe reformulated) those colors and they still have them! Great video Emily, I would LOVE to see another video like this. 👀 😃

The Japonesque powder is almost IDENTICAL to the e.l.f. under eye setting powder that comes in a very tiny case. I noticed that the e.l.f. under eye powder was putting too much iridescent sparkle under the eye. The setting powder was gorgeous but not the sparkle.

quackers160 I didn't. After a while on my skin, it actually set into my wrinkles - AND caused my eyes to water. I guess I am allergic to something in the powder.

Vicki Noble a great powder, although overpriced is the Collab loose powder at Sally's Beauty Supply ($15 though.) Also, Air Spun and Loreal Hydra Perfecting powder isnt too bad. I don't get the hype around the Fit Me loose powder. It just seems like regular loose powder to me. Better Skin in the compact is just as good as high end powder and is never spoken about. I agree, as you age powder can work against you unless finely milled and you use very little.

While I appreciate Ulta's house brand being cruelty free, they aren't necessarily too cheap. The only product I've really liked from them that I've grabbed from their various sells is their cool matte bronzer.. actually went to buy a fruit infused lip oil I'd gotten for Christmas - ten bucks. NYX isn't even that expensive, and I've been griping about them jacking their prices up since the total control drops. Just wanted to share - if they're doing a buy two, get two or something then totally worth trying some stuff you'd been interested in but they have a lot of misses for being at their price point; all I'm saying. I will be looking forward to the Essence customizable palette, things! Totally eyeballed those the other day but with face products, not sure if it's worth it.

Rose Ella-Grace they always get me with their buy two get two! my faves are their micro brow, their brow pomade, their eyelash curler, and their blush if you want to take advantage of the sale.

Tessa Newman right?! I'll find something I'm really curious on, then grab a bunch of others in that price range - gotta get the best deal, ya know, hahha. I have heard great things on their blushes, and face products are my makeup weakness, I honestly don't know why I haven't got some yet! Thanks for the recommendations!! Their matte bronzer is nice, and I like long, obnoxious nails that make false lashes hard to put on.. so have grabbed their little lash tool and it is nice, too. I'd never buy Tarte's [way too expensive for me for that type of thing] but since I got Ulta's free, can not complain on it! Their fruit infused lip oil is really good [the peach one is the one I wanna get again, it's delicious and lasts ages on my lips] but that will be with one of their sales; the bottle is bigger than NYX's but it surprised me it was ten bucks. More like a 7 or 8 dollar product, in my opinion. Their buy two, get two is hard to pass up. Their moisturizers and skincare I've tried the most with their sales and those are jut way too expensive to me, for being the Ulta brand, to make them a regular part of my skincare. The 'dew drench' serum or essence [I think, it's dew drench something or other] was really nice, but I ain't paying like,18 dollars [I believe] to keep it regularly. Blushes - I'll be onto them!! 😊😊

Thanks for the review. I have been wondering about Pacifica products. Their packaging is so pretty I would really enjoy seeing some on my dresser.

I really love the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss STICKS! Those are my favorite. They’ve been my go to for years. They are another one of those “sweatpants” type lip products. Really comfortable and looks great!!
