Besides "never leave a room with an empty hand" - a new mantra of mine is: "don't put it down, put it away!" Helps so much! Whenever I take a mug or something else from around the house to the kitchen, I tend to just put it on the counter.. instead I remind myself to put it away and so it goes inside the dishwasher, the sink or whereever it belongs to.. :)
@Angora5733 жыл бұрын
My Mum always said to only touch an item once. SO if you pick it up don't just put it in the right room put it where it belongs etc I do this whenever possible but sometimes I forget and then get annoyed with myself x

Wow…these are really clever cleaning hacks…especially removing dust from a padded headboard with an adhesive roller. Your idea of cleaning tennis shoe rubber soles with a magic eraser was a serious game changer. No other cleaning/ scrubbing has ever worked for me. Thx again - brilliant tips!

I love that you're promoting the speed clean. We "upgraded" this method of cleaning some 20+ years ago in my household where one of us got the task of selecting 3-5 songs that would be put on high BLAST while we clean and once the songs have played (15 to 20 minutes) clean time is over. This method keeps us so motivated and usually we're done with most of the chores around song #4.

For the tip - #12 "Don't drain cooking fat" - I save pickle jars, jelly jars, etc. under my sink and when I need to discard the cooking fat I place it in that jar and put the lid back on. Once it is filled to the top, I toss it. It's a win-win because you are reusing the old jars and it has a lid to seal it up. :)

The best cleaning hack I've ever discovered is to live in a small property and own as little as possible. This cuts down the amount of cleaning required tremendously and it means you have lower council tax and utility bills, too.

Hey Emily, hope you’re all well. I’m good, happy and well thank you good evening love this 20 cleaning ideas video. I have really enjoyed these 20 lovely cleaning ideas because it made me feel happy and grateful to see some new cleaning ideas to try from you. My favourite cleaning ideas was the blend to clean, lint roll for dusting, steam clothes in the tumble dryer, use dishwasher for everything, tumble dryer sheets to clean everything, fabric freshener, delegate the clean to someone else in the family, make clean time yourself, time speed clean + power clean the home and don’t leave the rooms empty handed ideas were really incredible and good ways to clean the home and tumble dry cloths to clean any fake flowers. If I have any stains in anything like cups or anything else what I like to do is put some washing up liquid into the stain cups put some warm clothes leave it for a few seconds on the side and then rinse it off and it’s amazing and also I also use some pink stuff paste in my kitchen sink to give my sink a good fresh clean it is genius. Those pistachio green white flowers looks so beautiful in the vase in your kitchen. All of the new cleaning ideas are so useful. I also have a same headband as you but my hand band is pistachio green white orange pink and purple design too. The stove usually broke from age and the new oven was clean. If there is something that I just have to iron I toss it. I'm your ultimate do not like to clean person. Hi Emily, I'm a new follower from Germany. I like your channel very much. By the way "never leave empty handed" is a sentence, my mother told me 20 years ago. It sounded "niemals leer laufen" As a teenager I hated these words... but obviously I internalized them :D good work, mum! Could you please make a video, in which you show how to store your cleaning utensils? I have many of them and my cleaning-wardrobe is bursting at the seams and gets messily. Perhaps you have an organization tip or I can get some inspiration. That would be great. I'm looking forward your next video. They are amazing!

I try and do a speed clean last thing at night before bed or before I chill out for the evening. So a quick whizz around tidying up, putting things away, a quick wash up, wipe down and hoover. Just a little blitz, enough to not come down to a horror the morning after 😅
