- No dead time - 5 minutes rule - 1 touch - clean clockwise and top to bottom - a small load of laundry every day - fold clothes immediately - read labels of cleaning product - keep a basket, always be decluttering - a place for everything - don’t leave a room empty handed - stair basket - love your tools - clean routine: morning/ evening - keep cleaning products near - timer and speed cleaning 10 to 15 minutes - don’t sit - me time, audio book - delegate - fold like Marie Kondo - Make bed every morning - counter/ sinks clean - if you have kids, be kind to yourself 😇

I totally agree with all your wise smart ideas rising and setting wit a clean house really makes life easier. I am guilty of clutter. What really helps the best is to be in a constant state of cleaning. There are so many small things you can do throughout the day and it makes a huge difference. What is also VERY important is your point of giving yourself grace. I used to be a clean freak, but eventually I got two cats. Cleaning started to stress me out and everytime I saw something getting dirty, it just gave me anxiety. It's basically the same with kids. And even when you don't have any pets and/or kids, you should realise that your house is NEVER perfectly clean. And even if it is, it will be dirty 5min later :) I see it as driving a new car out of the garage. The moment you drive off the car already lost so much in value. Accepting that your house doesn't have to be perfectly clean really helped me.

Many of us women are having to do too many jobs. Another group of us are single parents with little family support.. back in the day, we had closer family members living close that would help.. its all different now!! I fell into the “messy hole” when i had to let go of things in order to survive.. Full time work, son in school, manage a house, and then i got hit with lyme disease. So that was 5 years ago. I lost a year but then started getting better.. but havent gotten to 100%. But the messy became crazy, and so I am trying to get back to the formerly organized self!! So heres what I concluded: We cant be our mothers- we have to be ourselves in our situations! So start slow. Anywhere. Alot of the battle is mental. Be honest with yourself! What are the weaknesses? Decide you are going to be different. I also recommend watching minimalism videos.. It will give you ideas - not that you want to be a hard core minimalist- just let the videos give you inspiration.! 1 Drawer at a time, one chore at a time.. and learn to delegate ... good luck! And dont give up!! 💕

To the very pregnant lady who got up at 6AM and wants to "get to it" . Over my 77 years I've noticed that anywhere from 3 days to hours before the birth of a child, an extremely oddball burst of energy will come. Don't waste it on cleaning the fridge or garage. I have to think it's there for what you're about to accomplish with your body. Has anyone else noticed this " I think I can paint the house today " then tired for weeks when baby comes? I mean, more than a regular sleep interupted tired.🤪🥰

I get so frustrated and no matter how many times I try to organize it my kids mess it back up. It’s depressing and I believe that’s another reason why I’m not on top of things. All the clutter defeats me but the good thing is I wanna change my habits and do better. Me being unorganized and messy is playing a big part in my depression. so glad I found this Chanel

Just do your best ! I raised 3 children and i understand ! Maybe just focus on keeping the kitchen, bathrooms, and entryway clean. If u have time you can do more but just focus on what you can control! And your children will grow and things get easier as they become more independent! I wish I had given my children more chores and lessons in cleaning ! Have yours put their toys in baskets before bed.

My niece called me in tears one day because she couldn't keep her little son's room clean and the mess made it hard for him to play there. She said she felt like a bad mother. I explained that the toy storage solutions in his room weren't working for the way her boy lived his life - the recurring mess was proof. I researched toy storage ideas and hacks and we swapped out his storage system for something more appropriate. You'll know when your system works when the room is easy to tidy and never gets overwhelmingly messy. Our new solution worked so well - now he can put his own toys away and put the room in order in under 15 minutes, no matter how big the mess. She loves his room now and her son is learning how to manage his own messes. Valuable life lesson! I wish I were your neighbor so I could come over and help you conquer your clutter. I love big messes like kids love Disneyland! You go pour yourself a cup of coffee and find a comfy spot while I sort and organize with your guidance from your perch. 🤗

Fab video!! Tips that help me are: When kids are playing, only one or two toys or baskets out at a time, when finished it goes away before the next toy or basket comes out. If you live in a small space with lack of storage like I do, minimalist style living works. Having what you actually need and not doubles or triples of things means less clutter to find places for! Writing lists!! I write small daily lists of what I would like to clean or organise and it feels amazing when I can tick it off and really motivates me for keeping the house in order ☺️

Lol I just look at my house and (say to myself) I'm gonna take the bull by the horns and get started with my own cleaning haha yeah right I'm still watching the dang video. Oh well I can do that tomorrow. God Bless and have a Blessed Day. Greetings from across the miles. Adios 🙏🏻

I've noticed that the best way to keep my home neat and clean is to always put things back to where they belong, not leave clothes laying around, always take the trash out and don't let dishes, old magazines and empty boxes pile up. It's much easier to actually start cleaning when you can just get straight into it.

I've been following your tips from the last video and I've been trying to keep my house clean but sometimes like you said you need to give yourself some grace. On some days I'm just happy when the kitchen is clean and my family has food on the table. It is really hard sometimes to keep the house clean but with kids it is not always easy. I appreciate it so much that you give tips because your also going through the mess everyday 😂

I love the last comment you made. I feel the same way. If i wake up and go to bed and my home is clean i feel amazing. I have 7 kids and i feel like i never get a break, they are dirtying up what i just cleaned 🤦🏼 and even tho i cleaned the whole house and my husband comes home from work and is like "did you clean at all today?" Is so frustrating. So i breath and just keep going and know they are little, im not perfect, and a done something is better than a perfect nothing!! Thanks for these videos, I love them and your super adorable! Thanks for these great hacks.💜😊

NOOOO~ We had to make a rule to not put things on the stairs. They have to go up. No one would take things on the bottom of the stairs that were not theirs. The same with the basket. It had to be sorted at the top of the stairs! Created more problems because it never came back down. So.....no saving trips up the stairs.

I learned this from a housekeeper! For example, I have extra trash bags folded in the can under the current bag - where are you going to be when you empty that can and need a new liner? You're going to be leaning over that can, so have new liners right at your fingertips!

I'm a 19 year old south asian girl wathcing these videos. ill be honest i did thnk before watching this it wouldnt work for me because usually our cultures are very different though im british too. however legit every single thing you've mentioned is exactly what my mum does. ive had a very rough relationship with her since my mid-late teenage years because i refused to play my part in our house. I am organised with school and stuff but inly two years ago i started taking pride in my sourroundings all by myself. now im trying to go beyong only my bed and help more around the house like the living room, kitchen, parents room and toilets. the tips were a lot to begin with but i know i need to take my time.I'm going to go over the video and make notes this time. thank you!!!!!!!!!

Emily Just to say thanks so much for your entertaining and lively videos and I feel so much better having watched them. I now “clean as I go” and have delegated all glassware cleaning to my husband who objects to the smeary result I got while using a glass cleaner!!! To paraphrase Shirley Conran “always press a willing critic into service,” so glassware is now his remit: mirrors and bathroom cabinets a speciality. I look forward to the gleaming results. I am now fired up to reorganise the kitchen cupboards today as when I got up to do breakfast I discovered I’d run out of my usual tea but after much scrabble and panic so early in the day I found a perfectly acceptable substitute of which I was previously unaware. No all the “normal” teas will be in the kitchen in the cupboard over the kettle and the others like Rooibos and Earl Grey for example will live in the utility room store cupboard. Simple change but obvious really and I’m also gearing up to face the Himalayan pile of ironing that threatens to ambush me whenever I approach it. I’ll just get on with it instead. Thanks so much for your inspiration and look forward to seeing your other videos when housework just swamps everything. By the way, I also enjoy cleaning to heavy rock music bouncing off the walls but the house has to be empty first. Are you in the UK or USA as I wasn’t sure? Thanks again. Regards Cathy

I found that using a squeegee makes window cleaning a breeze! I just spray household cleaner on the glass, wipe with a cleaning cloth, spray more cleaner so the window is nice and wet, then squeegee it clean. No wiping, no streaks. I used to live in a hillside house where washing windows required a professional. Now I live in a one-story house on flat land and I can wash my own windows whenever I darn well please! The squeegee makes it fun.

I’m used to do everything in your list. My mom taught me these habits and I’m glad she did because having a spotless and organized house has never been difficult for me. One of your tips I learned by myself and I swear by it. I keep a few cleaning products in every bathroom. Sometimes I’m not even planning on cleaning my kids bathroom but I go in there to pick up some clothes they have left on the floor and I see the bathroom is not clean by having cleaning products there I easily and quickly clean up in 10 minutes and done. I feel that if I have to go to the closet to get them I probably would leave the cleaning for later.
