I highly recommend Emily’s Watercolor Mastery Course. I have been learned so much as well as gained in confidence. All her tutorials have been fun as well as teaching you how to master watercolor techniques. Very beginner friendly!❤

So good! I’m painting local parks I have hiked in as part of the world watercolor month challenge. Love how you work and how you break it down in simple digestible steps. I enjoyed the painting along with kids episode. They help the beginners!

Fantastic tutorial and painting, but the Arc de Triomphe is without a doubt the most famous arch in the world.

Very nice job, Emily. I was trying to find the brushes you are using on Amazon, but they don't have those sizes, only 4, 8, and 12. Maybe I'll just google it. But, again, very comprehensive lesson. I have a photo of Bryce that I'd like to do and this really helped. Thanks!

This was a great video. I love how you talked us thru every step. It's interesting how there's really not much mention in the watercolor world how different Daniel Smith's and Windsor Newton's burnt siennas are. Sometimes artists will mention mixing burnt sienna with something but do not clarify which one they're using and they are very different. I find DS to be a deeper almost brick red and WN to be quite a bit more orange. Have you encountered this?

Hi, thank you for this great tutorial. I have learned a lot. I’m also wondering, a few weeks ago you promised a tutorial on setting up an Etsy shop. I’m kind of still hoping for this. I hope it will come. I found your other contributions on the subject of how to sell art very valuable. Thank you Emily for everything. ❤😊

Thank you that was very educational. I’ve been painting with oil and acrylic for many years since I was a little girl actually. And I’m an old lady now. But I started with watercolor a few years back. It’s not always easy to get a good tutorial, but yours was excellent.I consider watercolor the hardest medium of all. So of course I had to try to conquer it. Thanks again.

Beautiful result and so helpful to see the layering/glazing and how you pick out the shadow shapes. Thank you!

Wonderful demo! As usual, I really appreciate your narration, with honest expression of objectives, and acknowledgement of parts that didn't quite go as planned (and how to correct/modify, if possible, or how to gracefully accept what can't be modified). I really like your commentary to explain your ideas about the design, and how to create a more satisfying result. Thanks!

Hullo Emily, I enjoyed watching you bring the Arch into being on your paper, a lovely painting! I am discovering soft pastels and Alain Picard's classes are truly revealing and I have become enamored with his squint commentary to "see" just the big areas and work only on those that you can see with your eyes mostly shut! I had only ever done this when working very large in watercolor. It is refreshing to see it used in a small 5x7 size, thank you for showing how to do this on this scale, so well done. Thanks!

Oh that’s a simply beautiful painting of the Arch! Hope to visit it someday soon! Im impressed by your painting without taping down the paper. It would have moved while I was painting & working on it! Thanks for sharing this fun video! Enjoy your week Emily!

I loved how easy you made this look. Watching the painting pop off the paper always amazes me. I painted this arch for my daughter from one of her reference photos from her trip there. It was so fun to paint. I also included them standing under the arch. It has been one of my favorite paintings. I wish I had seen this first because this would have made it easier for me to paint.

Love this! ❤ I like that the colors are clear and not muddy. It would be so easy to make mud out of this painting but you have resisted that. Good job!
