I have watched many artists paint a misty forest, this is by far the most effective and achievable,in my humble opinion. Many thanks.

The way you explain the dampness required in the brush and paper to achieve the effects makes you a great teacher! Actually, the way you explain most things is really effective. Thank you for your tutorials and guidance!

Perfect timing, since this is what I woke up to yesterday! Even the tall Doug fit next to the driveway were shrouded in mist. You made it sho simple! One would think that in all of the years I've painted and lived here that this would have come to mind on its own! Thanks for the inspiration!

Great tutorial! For some reason I lost the one that goes to Watercolor Mastery. I really liked the way you showed how to “scribble” the trees. I’m going to be doing this (in between my Watercolor Mastery daily challenges!) as a practice for water control on my brush and in my paints. Thank you Emily! As always… BEST.TEACHER.EVER. and Watercolor Mastery BEST.CLASS.EVER!

This is beautiful. Some spatters of white gouache would make it wintery and you could use it for a Christmas card.

Hullo Emily, I enjoyed this video you did a wonderful job showing the wet on wet technique! I liked the use of Paynes gray I like to use Perylene Green for my very dark greens as it can look almost black in heavy concentrations. I especially like DaVinci's version but I have been so converted to this brand that is has surpassed most every other brand in my studio palette! Thank you for giving this excellent video on a misty forrest scene!

I did it! And with a young friend too! We struggled a bit with paper warping due to being very wet, but came through with happy hearts.

loved the misty trees. Is there any advantage of the heat tool for drying over a hair dryer?
@EmilyOlsonArt Жыл бұрын
Not really-I just like having a dedicated dryer at my desk. :-)

I was wondering if Perylene Green would suffice rather than mixing two colours.

Same I was like, "perylene green would be perfect for this" lol
