Recreating the Nails from my FIRST Tutorial

I can’t agree more!! People starting out with acrylic should NOT use the crappy brushes and products from Sally’s! The brushes are awful and it discouraged me so I never tried It again.. I just went straight to the gelX method!

I love that thumbnail so, so much! It kind of, like. ...You know the designer disney dolls? It kind of has that feeling, but for ursula. I hope that sentiment comes across, laughs, i mean it only as a compliment. Most of the products (gel, acrylic and polygel too) are getting bubbles if the product are moved too much (tossing and wiping around), but acrylic also getting bubbly if there is air in the brush. Try to gently pushing down the brush to the bottom of the dish of monomer and moving a little. Then tipping on the dish side and tip into the acrylic. Some product is tend to be bubbles. You use the acrylic a bit runnier and with wiping motions, so not for sure but maybe it'll help you. :) A lot of pro said, and I think it too, it really doesn't matter how many beads are need. :) I really like how you talk about other people and their nails! You are so kind! :) And also about yourself and your skills! (I mean whe you say something is not perfect but it's ok. :)) I would like to view my skills this way, it would be less stressing. :) I could not manage to have XXXL nails, but I like watching your videos. How pretty! 😍 I have been doing my nails for maybe 3 years ish, and they usually look somewhat like these older nails you have here - kinda wonky or not a very great shape etc, but still kinda cute and nice nails. Doing my nails takes forever tho and I mostly use full cover tips, sometimes polygel. But I do remember the very first nails I did, they were sooo horrible 😵😂 it's too bad I didn't take a pic but I was way too ashamed

I would honestly recommend the young nails ultimate kit for anyone wanting to start off doing their own nails. It’s about a hundred bucks I think but it comes with EVERYTHING you could possibly need to do your own nails. The products are amazing and the kit is very generous. Plus if you get it during a flash sale you can sometimes get it a lot cheaper.

You were right when you said the products used affects the end result. Cheaper brands like Sally's own acrylic are really difficult for even qualified nail techs to use. If you invest in a well-known acrylic brand and they have real reviews you can read, you can bet they are going to be easier to use than a set you buy for 99p from wish. I know when you're first starting out it can be expensive but we have a saying in the nail tech community; "buy cheap, buy twice" which basically means if you buy something cheap, you will end up spending more money on having to buy something better. So it's best to spend a little more to get a good-quality product.

I've been watching your videos for a couple months, I don't even wear acrylics but I love the art and techniques. I have a question if anyone's reading this 😂 why do some people pop off the nail forms and other times they don't? At this point you just need to go get the paper. You already know basically everything that school would teach you and then some. We didn’t even learn polygels. They really just go over sanitation and laws and you get in 600 hours. I’m finishing now after a year in a six month program and you’re a big reason I decided to go in the first place. All I’m saying is if it would boost your confidence or reassure you about anything that you might not have covered on your own it would be worth it. You’re incredibly talented. 💕✨

Info on requirements for Nail techs, you need to only do 20 sets of sculpted nails, 10 sets of tips, and 5 set of wraps (l they are used to repair broken nails).
