My opinion on Eminem and why he sold out.
Wasn't a very well made video, will make a new one soon. Stay tuned.
I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE MUSIC. ALL RIGHTS GO TO EMINEM, SHADY RECORDS, AND INTERSCOPE.

So basically you prefer the old Eminem. The drugged up, angry, bleach blonde who acts like a silly cartoon character in almost every video, feud with his mom, ex-wife and pop stars guy. Well he's pushing 40 now, almost died from the drugs and has kids who are teenagers so yeah things change. He used to represent angst and ambition. Now he represents growing up and moving on. Personally I think the people who whine about liking the old stuff better is just feeling nostalgic.

He used to be like a God to me - just like he says "hanging on every word he said" even at the height of his popularity I felt he was not mainstream/pop and I could relate to most of his songs. Now it makes me feel sick to listen to him on pop tracks, he was sent to destroy pop music but the cash always wins the artist's soul. Now, all we have is Immortal Technique and Hopsin keeping real hip hop alive.

Yeah but did you even listen to him before the marshall mathers LP cause thats the one where his style changed. Once he got with dre the energy totally changed to angry. Thats because the insustry shit on dre with the whole eazy e thing. As dre says, F that beef, you can't hate E for what the industry did.

He sold out. Thats fact. He dropped Relapse, which any real eminem fan would say is one of his best albums, but then when that flopped he dropped Recovery the next year to appeal to all the douche skinny jean lil wayne drake fan boys. Then all of a sudden he became a household name again. So dont go saying that he matured and changed what he rhymes about when Relapse was dark and nasty as both the Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LP.
@7KakashiCartman7

I agree he did sellout but its mostly because he is older now and matured. And Proof did change him but getting off of drugs is what changed his style. I don't want him to go back to drugs either and even if he did his style won't change much his voice just got deeper.
@TheLaLasProductions
@TheLaLasProductions 12 жыл бұрын
are these comments for real?? just because he's matured is not a reason to do a song with pop singers, wack ass rappers, & with pop beats. that's like seeing someone like Nas doing a song with a Young Money beat, or collaborating with someone like Nicki Minaj, and saying "oh he's matured", "oh he's older now". whaat? maturing should not equal shitty music. it's shitty. the beats hurt my ears. look at artists like Wu-Tang and KRS-One when you wanna see older MCs makin new shit & keepin it quality

I've been an Eminem fan for a while now and I still am and I still love him as much as I did first time. Most of you guys don't understand the fact that he is 40 FUCKING YEARS OLD. Would you like a 40 year old guy to act like Slim did in the very first video ? I don't think so. If you say that EMINEM SUCKS and SLIM SHADY ROCKS you must have a problem , because you either love him or hate him. He may have changed BUT he got through a LOT OF SHIT , not like the most of you who now disrespect him.

Old Eminem wouldn't rap with P!nk, Wayne or Rihanna. Old Eminem wouldn't say Paul Wall and Bubba are dope. Old Eminem wouldn't use beats as bad as on Recovery Old Eminem would stick to Dre Old Eminem wouldn't rap songs for 12 year old kids. Old Eminem would NOT rap with Nicki Minak. New Eminem has nothing to rap about exept how he fell off and now he's back. How he was addicted to drugs. Old Eminem was dark New Eminem is bubble gum pop.

Yes every time an artist becomes huge they get the label "sell out". He's always had one or two radio-friendly tracks on every album. He stated that he purposely does this & he's always had tracks with singers (remember track 13 girl Dina Rae). No he's not feuding with pop stars anymore because it's childish & the only reason he did it back then was because he was being lumped in with them. I would have liked to hear LTWYL with Christina Aguilera instead. She can actually sing.

ill give this guy credit, hes talented and that talent allows him to change his style from infinite to the slim shady era i think that change is really where he sold out, why? because he changed himself in order to sell more and become "hot". in other words, if my album doesnt leave me money i change my style in order to please my crowd, thats how selling out works. because at that time no one wanted to hear songs like "its ok" in 1996 they wanted to hear that gangsta thug mentality of the 90's but in 00' he was able to forsee a change in the music industry that allowed him to become as popular as he did with the slim shady persona. again even though he sold out a really long time ago he is still a good rapper no one denies his skill on the mic. he just changed to please the crowd and get out of poverty

@drbnzballa1 It has everything to do with his personality & his post-drug mentality & u must haven't been paying attention because he's already addressed it: "I had to learn to rap and write again...I actually had to learn how to say my lyrics again - how to phrase them, make them flow, how to use force so they sounded like I meant them. Rapping wasn't like riding a bike. It was physical as well as mental. I was relearning basic motor skills." IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SELLING OUT.

The GREATEST sellout in history?!? You've got to be kidding me. (If you're still talking about Eminem, Hell nah he ain't!) What about the "people" in our very own government that got him into that position in the first place? Does that not count loco?!? Marshall Mathers was unbelievably beautiful and awesome, and it was clear he had the heart of a TRUE artist all along....He just got caught in something he didn't have a clear future outlook on, until it was too late...have you even listened to any of his songs? What makes you say he's the greatest sellout? He is and will forever will be one of the loves of my life. This is @Heather's Groovies by the way....my channel name

We have female singers and male singers in the hip hop scene now. So,DUH, he fucks with them. Haha.. People are to hilarious. Had he stayed the same you'd talk shit about him not changing with the times, but since he found a way to stay real and change wit the times he gets criticized for that too? Come on man.. Seriously? Listen to the music instead of being a hater. You ain't mad at Em you mad at the industry.. & to talk about his clothes and shit, come on.. He is a grown man, fuck he look like wearing baggy ass shirts and pants.. He grew up and his TRUE fans grew with him. #DontHateThePlayerHateTheGame
