This performance was so epic and I was so close to the stage. I'm 53 years old and was acting like a lovestruck 16 year old. After the station closed in 1988 it was vandalized and became a huge eyesore. Then in the 90s it became a popular place to film rap/hip hop videos. I honestly didn't think anyone would even think about throwing their money into it. But, then comes the Ford family.

I actually caught this live on youtube and my mind was a bit blown - would love that rabbit hole :) I was born in MI and have a lot of roots in Detroit, this was a surprise for people at the city festival they were having that day, I also saw a friend or two posting about it on the socials earlier in the day before *that* happened. I can't even imagine a pop up concert like that - lucky crowd Let's go Detroit and props to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra too :-D

I listened to the interview after where he was thinking when Paul Rosenberg called & EM wanted HIM for that song and together because he and Paul are friends but he had never me EM…….well he found out it wasn’t a joke. Paul and EMINEM ACTUALLY PUT THE ENTIRE LINEUP FESTIVAL TOGETHER AND WAS THE ONES BEHIND ALL OF IT. But I think if I remember correctly no one knew for sure EM was popping out but a few and last minute but regardless I’m so grateful and excited and for Central Station and all its glory restored ( that was a ton of $$$$)❤❤ YES TO MEMORY LANE!!!!!
