Eminem saved a lot of people's lives with this and many songs. Cause I've seen people comment about how people use Eminem's music like some kind of therapy, cause Em knows what's like to be in those dark places. That's one of the reasons on why I believe he's the greatest of all time, even if you don't have exactly those problems that Eminem had, you still know what's like to be on sadness and anger, and Em just embrace them, he's so honest about it and invites the rest to do it as well.

Perfect timing i seen you dropped this review today was the pick me up i needed. One thing i felt about this song i remember when it came out was that alot of the eminem heads i talked to didnt like it they said they liked the "old" eminem better which i couldnt understand because i thought the perserverance was out of this world. But i think the reasonong was certain 'eminem heads' felt eminem was theirs and he gave them power over the uncool kids or whatever but "not afraid" reached out to EVERYONE and empowered EVERYONE and they just selfishly couldnt accept that

I view this song as a motivational track written by Marshall for Marshall, I kinda see it as a reminder to himself that he is the goat. At the time he just came back from a hiatus because of his overdose and released Relapse which basically flopped, he was also coming off drugs at the time so he was rediscovering himself again. That’s why the first verse was all about believing in himself and telling “fuck you” to the haters then the chorus hits and it’s uplifting, keeping his spirit up and allowing himself to continue in the game. That’s my take Edit: I actually fucked with Relapse, thought it was a great album. I mean it’s fucked up haha a lot of it is just Em messing with the rhyme but the beats go hard. Produced by Dre. You also have gems like Must be the Ganja, Beautiful, My Darling and Careful What You Wish For

Literally 20 mins ago was listening to this song on my way home and wondering if Stevie has already reacted to it! I obviously thought that he has and it’s on patreon, cause well, this song is too big. Happy to be wrong!

After Proof (RIP)died, all went south for him.He was heavy on drugs since Encore days(2004),almost overdosed, but came back to what he loved:rap and horror flicks and kinda mixed them.So Relapse came out,he had lots of accents and dark themes. He once said that ,for him,it was like learning to rhyme again😊 Personally i like Relapse🤷🏼♀️

“I’m strong enough to go to the club or corner pub....” He’s a recovering alcoholic but he is saying he can go to the pub and touch every bottle of alcohol in there and not have any.

I don't think he was ever an alcoholic

Listened to “Not Afraid” countless times. Never caught the triple about him being able to resist alcoholic temptation. Genius

“Time to exorcise these demons” the fact that they’re doing jumping jacks (exercising) is him saying the exorcism of his demons is complete because he faced them

I seen a lot of people react asking people talk about this song and they said it's probably one of the most motivational songs definitely Eminem has ever done and most people added to the workout playlist.

I never noticed that rhythm wrap scheme is maybe a double for actually wrapping a ribbon and the rap scheme steve mentioned
