GREAT REACTION!👏Em is literally a Genius - totally off the scale!🔥Lyrically, no-one from any genre can match his immense vocabulary - he's a walking dictionary and thesaurus. His rhyming schemes, flow, subject matter, his storytelling abilities, he's so autobiographical with his material not to mention his rapping skills. He is an enigma - a labyrinth of puzzles within a riddle - that's why he's THEE GOAT!🐐

Loved the reaction, this is one of EMs craziest raps! The opening and ending for some reason was low volume. It was hard to hear your voice but while the song was playing your voice was at normal volume. If you haven't already Godzilla by EM also goes supersonic.

Eminem has said that this was a Freestyle that came to him while he was asleep on the couch. Apparently he went straight to the studio when he woke up hopped in the booth and laid this track.

I already commented but wanted to add that this comes off as one of the most genuine 1st time reactions I’ve seen in a long time, if ever. It’s hard to fathom someone legitimately hearing this for the first time in 2022. EM has made my head hurt for > 2 decades; though it does become easier as time goes on. :)
@MC-zr6gc2 жыл бұрын
I like how he gave those "blink and you miss it" type of shout outs to "The Rat Pack" and "JJ Fad". wow, i had such a little-boy crush on them back when i was a wee-lad in the 80's and 90's. Them, and Jennifer Connelly after the first time i saw Labyrinth. lol

I love the fact that you caught that Waka Flocka Flame reference because a lot of people do not understand what he is talking about see that took me back to girlfriend I tip my hat off to you for knowing what that song was about because people did not know what that part was about I'm sorry thank you very much Mia

Great reaction.. this track was such a flex at the time and still holds up today. It’s not crazy bar heavy vs his more intricate tracks but meant as a technical show peace for flow / delivery / cadence. This track has never gotten old to me.. there is a remix version on the new CC2. The vocals are more crisp and it’s not as “busy” so it allows you to focus / concentrate on the lyrics more. (It’s also a hot beat).
@XCC232 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I love Rap God because yeah, is it lightweight in terms of bars? Relatively, sure. But it's such a good "Watch me obliterate this fucking beat" song.
@jaysea8382 жыл бұрын
@@XCC23 I didn’t mean it was lightweight for bars in comparison to others but for an EM track it’s definitely not intricate compared to his more technical tracks. But it most definitely is if you’re comparing it to 98% of his competitors.

I'd love a reaction on ur next Em drop to Kings Never Die, Believe, Guts over Fear, Believe, or No Apologies!?! motivation Em @ his best imho & I think u may enjoy most if not all these tracks...can't beat a beauty who really cares about the music, so thanks again I'll be looking for ur next drop! Btw if ur hearts beatin faster then an artist is doin a great job I get similar rushes from Em songs especially Medicine Man - 'MAD' Dre & Em

So many times I have heard younger folks (I am 44 so about Em's age roughly) saying how the new music is the shit. I don't want to know what came before. THEY ARE OLD AND OVER. I am glad folks are proving that BS wrong. A great reaction. I can see you getting completely engrossed in the song. Finding out what it was that came not all that long ago. Y'all......I was born in 1978. So I was about 5 in the early 80's. Do you think that is where my musical love began? Do you think it ended when I hit 30 in 2008? NO. I want to know what came before, and yearn for new songs that are those hard hitting amazing songs. My musical likes goes all the way back to the 40's and 50's. Then it flies all the way forward to this very year. FIND ALL MUSIC. Know what came before, and created the path that today walks down. Know today is doing great, but never disregard what was before.

Just for context, if you didn’t know, the beginning part where he is quoting “I was gonna go easy on you not to hurt your feelings… but if he’s as bananas as you say, we’re in trouble, big trouble.” Is actually based on something that happened on November 22nd, 1987. The background, clothing, and sunglasses Eminem is wearing is what the assailant was wearing during the broadcast interruption. Someone wearing a Max Headroom mask (a fictional British tv character), hacked two Chicago, Illinois TV stations during a live broadcast… I believe it was a Chicago Bears football game. The very beginning lyrics are what was said during one of the hacks that took place. The anonymous person that hacked the station, has never been caught.

Hi Ashley. Glad you're discovering what a genius Slim Shady/Eminem/Marshall Mathers is. A couple of things: (i) the use of the word faggot is from his days as a battle rapper--questioning a guy's sexuality was a widespread tool; (ii) Slim Shady had to do shock stuff in the beginning to get folks to pay attention; (iii) a lot of the shock stuff was Eminem calling out the censorship he was getting--so, protecting our 1st Amendment rights. In "White America" he actually says those words only became a problem when the white guy said them. If you haven't checked it out, please do. BTW, I'm a fan, but not Stan.
