@METTI1986LA If you look at most of the guys on the battle scene today 99% of them use written lines. Now adays people know things about each other and they know who they will be battling ahead of time so they write verses and only use the freestyle for rebuttals. The reason Em said that the best freestyler he new was Proof because he was one of the only guys that was that good with out using pre-thought up lines. Not many people can do that and still be that good, Juice and Supernat maybe.

Freestyling is really a seperate art. I will never consider em one of the best off the dome freestylers, he is deadly with a pen in his hand and his delivery is crazy. He also displays the highest level of songwriting, but off the dome freestyle is something completely different. I would rather go for proof, juice, eyedea... But Em will stay my fav rapper, cus freestyle ain't everything.

Yes but that's the thing, he doesn't, which means he probably doesn't spend much time going off the top, he writes more. While other rappers put more effort in going off the top. Look at harry mack, he doesn't write many songs i assume but he puts more effort in going off the top. It all depends n what kind of mc you are. Eminem is good off the top, i've seen numerous of freestyles of him going legit off the dome.
