This song actually saved my life. I was 20yrs old back in 99' when this came out & my life was hitting rock bottom. Everything that could possibly fall apart for me, did. I was goin' through it fr but Em's music made me feel like I wasn't alone, like someone understood where I'd been & what I going through. All these years later & this song still gets to me. Music is powerful like a drug. It can be a lifeline that lifts us up & gives us hope or it can bring you down to the depths of despair. Em was the drug that lifted me high. He kept me goin' when no one else did & for that I'll always be grateful. Em is a legend✌💕 EDIT: KZbin got me Shaq!! I saw your video, I clicked. Saw you got fired. I felt so bad for you man. I was commenting all the encouraging thoughts I had. THEN I REALIZED IT WAS A YEAR OLD 🙈 I think people at KZbin get bored and start playin' with us 😁

“I feel like I’m walking a tight rope without a circus net” is so raw. He feels like he can’t put a single foot wrong or he falls and that’s it. There’s no safety net to catch him. It encapsulates the feelings so well. How hard is it to walk on a tight rope? How scary and unsure that makes you feel? Without a safety net to help. If he puts one foot wrong, that’s it, he falls to the bottom and that’s the end of his story. Raw.

Now here we are in 2019 where he is arguably the biggest artist currently a live and certainly the biggest rapper of all time the polar opposite of where he was when he wrote this song. This is an example of how Eminem completely reached an entirely new audience that most rap artists didn't reach at the time. While most people were focused on east-coast vs west-coast, or police vs black, or which rapper was the "best rapper alive"..... Eminem came out with a message that simply said "Yes, it sucks to be poor. But you are NOT ALONE! Other people are just as poor, just as angry, struggling just to put food on the table and to pay the bills to keep the lights on. You ARE NOT ALONE!" Yet, it was such a simple message..... but so overlooked by so many other artists at the time that you have to scratch your head and ask yourself "Why didn't X-Y-Z talk about this instead of drugs or women or cars?" And it's why so many people to this day still consider Eminem the "goat"... because they felt connected to him FROM THE START of his career and have felt like that connection to their lives has never been broken.

Tech N9ne Fragile is the BEST. It's kray that Tech wanted Em on the song and he couldn't do it and then he brought in Kendrick Lamar and he fucking killed that track. Shout out to May Day too!

Evil deeds is overhated, not underrated. The Song itself is barely a 4/10

Em accidentally overdosed on Methadone Christmas 2007 (after Proof died) This song was written long before that tho...this was from his early days, probably 96-97ish (before Dre). 🔥🔥🔥

E Rayburn did he? im confused 1st iv heard of this. Sad : (

@@hayleymartin333 - If you're referencing the overdose...yes, it's very sad. He talks abt it in several songs but he REALLY goes into to detail on Revival. I know most people didn't like that album (granted, could've had better production on some songs) but lyrically, we got to see a very RARE, vulnerable side of Em. After the reception, however, I'd say that's the last one we get too. :-(
