Correct. Most of them haven't experienced life enough to relate to just the lyrics alone. Which this song is all about. They're just waiting for the beat to drop the entire time and think something that is basically just poetry is boring. Sometimes it feels like the true meaning of rap is being lost bc sadly, a lot of adults feel the same as the younger demographic. I've watched plenty of reviews of this track that have said "Wait...wheres the beat? This was boring." Those are the people that haven't been through any shit in their life.
@ak-jxrdy-76 жыл бұрын
@david ortega As someone from the new generation who is a dedicated fan of real rap like this, I agree with what you said about this generation being lazy and not being able to relate to the message. Just that I understand rap music, most of its literary techniques (rhyme schemes, wordplay, flow, etc.) used in them and I can appreciate great writing. Mainstream music is just terrible and ruining what actual rap used to be.
@ak-jxrdy-76 жыл бұрын
@@jennag3226 That's true and it's truly annoying how people these days care more about instrumental than the lyrics. I can't even have discussions with my friends about the writing aspect other than them catching references or simple wordplay here and there.

This song is so deep and so prophetic because when this song and Revival came out, a lot of his own fans weren't happy with the CD..... I love the content, personal songs are always more impressive to me than just showing me you got skills... I wasn't disappointed with the CD, but I definitely understand what he is feeling, like in the last verse of "Bad Guy" (which is one of his greatest verse ever)... he basically explain his fear as in this song Walk on Water.... He knows the spotlight one day won't be as bright as his glory days.... but I still love his music and Kamikazi really showed he still have every ounce of his talent left, just needed to refuel that fire

I thought the shouting on the recovery album was appropriate and is a main reason of why I like it so much. In songs in the mmlp2 I didn’t think very highly of it. In songs like Berzerk, the lead single, as soon as you start the song, eminem is screaming into your ears and it’s just uncomfortable. I think the difference between why one works and the other doesn’t is that the recovery album is fueled by emotion. It is his comeback album and he is showing that he is back. He is shouting out his inner demons. In songs like Almost Famous, 25 to Life, Not Afraid, it would be weird if he was just using a calm voice while covering those topics. But in Berzerk, Headlights, etc it just doesn’t make sense why he is screaming into the mic
@UnabashedlyReggie7 жыл бұрын
+Eat Shit I do agree with you, it made less sens in MMLP2.
@homanshusharma20957 жыл бұрын
Nah it made sense because that whole song was actually a Beastie Boys tribute. Search it up!
@cheese79607 жыл бұрын
Can Arat it’s not full of shouting, but the tracks with shouting are out of place. Not to take anything away from MMLP2 but Recovery is a better album. You don’t have to agree with me but 3 reasons: 1. Song topics. In Recovery, Eminem isn’t just rapping for the sake of rapping. (Almost) all songs on the album have a definite purpose, where the songs are meaningful. And it’s not all the same as well. You have Not Afraid, obviously his comeback song where he displays that he is back and has shed his drug addiction that caused his slump. Cold Wind Blows, is kind of his “I’m Still Shady” song where he covers his undesirable welcome back into the rap game. “Going Through Changes” details the struggles he went through and where he has been over his 5 years of absence. I won’t go through everything, but there is 25 to life, Space Bound, You’re Never Over, No Love, Almost Famous, etc. In MMLP2 to topics are less meaningful, less clear, and less frequent. There are songs like “Headlights” and “Legacy” that serve a clear purpose but songs like Baby, Berzerk, Rhyme or Reason, not bad songs btw, are just not on the same tier. 2. It is Eminem’s true Comeback album. This one is pretty straightforward. Relapse was obviously released before Recovery, and while being a good album, it was still not a “comeback” album because of the tone of the project. Not Saying these are the only good songs whatsoever, but the only songs that really felt like “oh shit Eminem is back” were Underground, and obviously his verse in Forever in Refill. Compare that to Recovery, and there is a clear difference. Recovery is able to capture that feeling and harness it to an extreme. The only other Eminem Album that I feel was really fueled by emotion was the original MMLP, while the SSLP, Relapse and TES still had there own feel to it. The MMLP2 has no feel to it and it detracts from the album. As side from his new flow, there isn’t much unique about the album. 3. This is pretty simple, but Recovery does more with less songs then the MMLP2. The MMLP2, while containing some serious gems, has a fair share of throw away tracks, and while Recovery has some as well (Won’t Back Down, Untitled), the overall % of serviceable tracks in Recovery is simply higher then the of MMLP2 (15/17 Recovery tracks, 15/21 MMLP2 tracks) With all this being said and the effort i went through to make this ridiculous comment, I’ll just give u my full rankings 1. The Eminem Show (10/10) 2. MMLP (9.5/10) 3. SSLP (8.8/10) 4. Recovery (8.5/10) 5. MMLP2 (8/10) 6. Relapse (7.5/10) 7. Encore (6.1/10) 8. Infinite (6/10)

Eat Shit have you listened to Revival yet? If you have, where would you rank it?
@cheese79606 жыл бұрын
Karny A Karny A (Sorry, this is gonna be long) is sadly, I would put it dead last. While Encore definitely had some worse tracks then revival, revival really had no redeeming qualities outside of 3 songs. Framed is fun, but not really a great song, and Castle and Arose is one of the best back to back song combinations ever, but I don’t think it outweighs mockingbird, toy Soldiers, mosh, evil Deeds, YBR, never Enough, Love you More, Ricky Ricky tock. Another reason why I have Encore higher is that even Encore’s bad songs are still funny.. I can’t deny that even as disgusting as Puke is or as annoying as Just lose it is, I still laugh every time I listen to those songs. Revival just really doesn’t sound like himself. All three times I listened to the album I thought to myself, “is this someone pretending to be eminem?” The three songs I mentioned were the ones that really sounded like him, framed as a Relapse song and Castle and Arose sounding like they were straight out of Recovery. The production throughout the album was by far the worst of his career. The pop features Made me want to puke. The rare playful songs were so damn corny that I couldn’t stand them (“your booty is heavy duty like diarrhe”). Overall, I’m gonna take words from another video I watched and say that “Eminem is someone who can clearly rap, but makes bad rap music”. As much as I want to like the album, it just fell flat on its face for me. This is the first time I have truly felt that Eminem has fallen off TES 10/10 MMLP 9.7/10 SSLP 9/10 Recovery 8.8/10 MMLP2 8.5/10 Relapse 7.8/10 Infinite 6.3/10 Encore 6/10 Revival 4/10
