Dre wouldn't let him release it. He explains it in Toy Soldiers. This is real and a leak, not a release.

Basically, suge was a gangster, not a business man. He took advantage of artists. Him and P Diddy were the big heads that ran things at the time, and likely conspired, or if not, just the reason because of their approach that Tupac and biggie got shot. Ja rule was imitating pac and was trying to be under suge so he had the full image. Dre wouldn't let this be released, because Suge would have likely orchestrated a death threat on Eminem. There was a story where Suge came to a video shoot with a bunch of people trying to intimidate, and Eminem came out yelling at them ready to fight asking them "what the f*ck is is up?!"

If you wanna read the whole thing here you go; Here's the whole beef. 50 and Ja were beefing. According to Em, he and Ja were on speaking terms before he signed 50 and they almost got "cool". And 50 said he wouldn't say anything about the beef because he didn't want Em to think he bought a problem by signing him. But then, Ja got pissed when Em signed 50 and for some dumbass reason wanted to drag Em into the battle which you can see now was the biggest mistake he ever made. Ja said Hailie's name in that diss. "Em, you claim your mother's a crackhead and Kim is a known slut, so what's Hailie gonna be when she grows up." And that got Em pissed because as we all know you don't talk about Hailie. That's why he spoke of his kids a bit. That's how the whole thing started and Em made a lot of disses towards Ja at that time. He still to this day, drags his name here and there hahaha. And Suge thing was mainly because of Dr.Dre. Dre and Suge had a thing going on. And Em being Em always wanted to jump in it and defend Dre but Dre never let him. We never really knew why Dre didn't let him, but I can see why by this diss track. According to Yayo, when they were shooting the In the Club music video, Suge and his Mexican guys showed up to intimidate and everyone started to freak out. Yayo said, Em said "I don't give a fuck man!" and went outside along with 50 and G-Unit. And the other thing is that Em loved Pac. He even drew him once and sent it to his mother with a letter expressing his gratitude. And Pac's mom sends Em, Pac's rhymes if I'm not mistaken. So Em being Em he wanted to say something about that as well. Because Ja was imitating Pac. At the beginning of the song, it says "Suge shot me." and that's from a Pac song. That's it I guess.

If a rabbit hole you want, you dan get it. This one starts with JaRule - Loose Change, where there's a line where Ja disses Hailie, Em's young daughter. With Em, you don't touch his kids... Afterwards Em had a song called Hailie's revenge where the Oscar gets introduced. Smack You is unreleased (a leak) but it picks up from there. The Oscar gets a follow-up AND he mentions Suge. Toy Soldiers has a line where he mentions Dre told him to stay out of the beef and Suge's name is censored out. We never knew exactly what happened but with Smack You leaked it fills in that gap Long story short

cliff notes.. Ja Rule beef came with/from 50 Cent. It was JaRule Irv Gotti .. Murder Inc label in general. Suge was owner of Death Row and was fucking people over and being a gangster so dre and snoop (who now runs DeathRow!!) all had beef bc of that. Eminem was on the outside of it and this was a diss he made to all of it back in like 2002/2003. Apparently during the videoshoot for In Da Club, Suge showed up with a pile of people with him and Em came out like I DONT GIVE A FUUUUUCK!!! and Suge ended up leaving. This song never came out back then bc Dre stopped him, like others have said its explained some on Toy Soldiers. Also! the first bit of Em in this song is a Pac song and flow from the song called Against All Odds.

The reason Eminem never released this was because Dre didn't want him this to go live, he was trying to save his life. Because we all know Suge Knight was The Boogeyman back then, every gangsta was scared of him. Dre didn't want Eminem to get killed, but still Eminem got some balls to stand up against a demon like Suge.

Yes christopher wallace is biggie he made this diss in 03 i'm assuming Dr. Dre is the one who told him not to release it. Because doctor dready was afraid for eminem's life and he didn't want to lose eminem or dre gave him the red light because it wasn't enough evidence on should night to expose him. And I would've just made him look bad back then. Even though it's a pretty good song, and diss that's just my theory on it, though I could be wrong
