People complain about the production on this song, but it enhances the point he wanted to get across. It's not meant to be bumped, it's meant to be observed. In the first half of the song Em conveys the behavior of rebellious white cops through Rock music, delivering it in an uncomfortable way as a reminder of this uncomfortable conversation. Then in the second half Em uses a "boom bap" Hip-Hop beat to convey the perspective of the black people who are rebellious due to the unfair circumstances they were born into. Took y’all over 2 years to realize just how important this song is.
