So here are some references: Eminem is parodying his own success and all the grief and comparisons that come with it. • Batman (Dr Dre) & Robin (Em) - kids looked up to him as a hero: the 1966 tv show theme music was incorporated into a rap flow @ the 3:43 mark. • Elvis - comparisons of a White performer becoming successful from Black influenced music. (and of course dying on the toilet). • TV that dominated the culture in the late 90s and early 20s: Parody of trash talk show Sally Jesse Raphael in which family members would fight and make fools of themselves- in this case Em’s mom Debbie whom sued her own son. ER (parodied as EM - popular hospital drama that once starred George Clooney). Survivor- reality game show. MTV’s The Real World - some would argue was the Granddaddy of reality television. E news- which glamorized and influenced paparazzi shows like TMZ. • Feuds - Lynne Chaney the wife of former VP Dick Chaney (the man with real life heart problems) - she participated in a Senate hearing to have Eminem banned. Bald Guy was Techno musician Moby ( whom was shown being beat by fellow rapper and band mate Obie Trice). Also mentioned was Prince, Limp Bizkit, NYSNC (ala Chris Kirkpatrick)- not to mention Eminem’s long running feud with the FTC & FCC (the Fed orgs that control and monitor Trade and Communications in the US). • Osama Bin Laden - the most hated person in American culture at that time; which Eminem said he felt was himself at times even though all he was doing was performing rap songs that kids wanted to hear. • Keeping with the theme of Batman and Robin... the car that Eminem and Dr. Dre are in is a Lamborghini Murciélago ( Murciélago is bat 🦇 in Spanish)....and this same model was used as Bruce Wayne’s personal transportation in the Christopher Nolan Batman movies.

@@justinmoore3217 Most people my age and younger don't, I'm an odd ball it seems (25) and most people don't even know Em. An example: I work in a warehouse where they let us play music through a PA speaker (I'm not even a manager and they let me play with it lol I like my job for that) and it's only the old heads who recognize or even liked Em. But when Right on by lil baby came on everyone knew that one, or some future stuff. Driving around town I've never heard Em lol just being real, and only one guy younger than me at the job (think he's 20) had some Em on his playlist too. Most everyone else, even my friends or people at my hangout spots, or even online friends don't really know him. Time goes on and only some people can keep up. Em can't keep up no more, he still is a good rapper. But if we're all being real, he lost his greatness around recovery. And at the same time he ain't in my top 10 or anything either, just saying I have respect for the rap game and Em earned his place.

This is easily one of my favorite songs of his. When I had oral surgery for dentures about 5 years ago, I ended up with a lisp. I practiced this song over and over as he has such AMAZING enunciation until I could sing/rap it at full speed without an issue. Definitely dropped the lisp. I do get weird looks when i do this at karaoke and folks are like "There's no way". But though I am totally out of breath by the end, I know it by heart. (This edited/"clean" version kept throwing me off! LOL) Another favorite is "Till I Collapse". It's one of the ones I listen to when I need to push through things. :)

I met eminem a long time ago when he was with D12. He was soo cool and soo sweet to me. We shared photos of our families n hung out n talked n D12 was super sweet too. Eminem was funny too. Before he had to leave, he gave me a kiss and a hug! And gave me his number! I'll always remember that night the rest of my life!

An oldie but a goodie. I was stuck on the Ike in traffic first time I heard that. Freaking jamming in my car blowing out my speakers. It said a lot back in the day. Def banger. ✌️❤️

This content of this video and song is hilarious to me because it's the first song I ever learned a full verse and chorus to and I was 5 years old walking around singing it. The clean version that was on tv but still.

When he was pointing to the CD the whole purpose of the video starts with a kid about to listen to his music and the ending is him stopping them from listening to something that shouldn't
