And the seat sure does show a bit of ageing, even though it's only 2 years old, it's the first with the big screens, it was still a much newer feel when switching to EET :)

Brings back some pleasant memories. The Emirates A380 J offering is pretty good! One minor complaint, though. That larger tablet was incredibly heavy to use. It's like a first generation iPad, but two or three times the weight!

Great video. But I can't wait to see what the refreshed interiors are like in the next year or two. These seats are showing their age and look out of date compared to the Etihad J class or Singapore's new J class.

+S787iFly Thanks. I didn't realise that a new interior was on the way, though. The space, storage and privacy are fantastic! My only complaint is that the wood seems a bit vulgar and I suspect that'll be replaced with something more modern.

+Australian Flyer Emirates have only said that the new First suite will be fully enclosed like a train compartment and the new 777's will be getting new J class. I doubt economy will get much more that new fabric.

Agree!! Most noticeable when you fly Australia to AKL with Qantas, then because of code sharing they put you on an Emirates flight! I thought to myself when this happened "why didn't I just book with Emirates in the first place". Emirates even have a well stocked personal snack bar-Qantas doesn't.

Great video! I always take Emirates! But back then I didn't have the idea of doing 'flight reports' lol, but anyways nice trip! And Emirates is always a great to fly :) But I've moved on to Etihad and Qatar to try new.

+DotCharlesProject Thanks mate. Yeah EK are pretty good although a lot of people are keen to try QR and Etihad since they're the new kids on the block (and their offerings look pretty good). I'm trying QR for the first time in July and can't wait (J in an A350 although they've been subbing A350s out due to shortages so hopefully I'll be lucky and get one).

Oh lucky! I reserved Qatar on October, still a long time to wait though :( and as well as Etihad but I reserved Etihad on december, to go to Phuket, but on Qatar I'll only be taking their A330,777 and A380, not the 787 or A350 sadly, I'd love to go on a 787 or A350 one day!

+DotCharlesProject QR57, so Doha to Munich. It should be a great trip as I'm flying from LHR to DOH two days before in BA First class (it was a rather impulsive use of a lot of points!) I'll be putting together a flight report so expect to see that a few days after my flight in late July.

+Jeff Blatter I'm a member of a frequent flying forum and they've currently got a discussion on about "you know you fly too much when..." and I thought that having too many boarding passes in your hand, bag and passport is one of those. :) In all seriousness, I consider my ability to fly a massive privilege and enjoy every minute of it. Appropriately enough, today is Remembrance Day and it's interesting to think that people in my grandparent's generation could only travel by joining the army (and end up in a muddy French trench), yet I'm able to fly around the world with relative ease.

I was under the impression, that Emirates Business class was in a 2-3-2 layout or does it depend by plane? As I can see why they would have a 1-2-1 layout on the A380,

Yes mate, the 777 is 2-3-2 while the A380 is 1-2-1. :) Hence, the A380 is certainly the pick of the two.
