top tip when flying econ emirates on an A380 with the no first class configuration: always try to get a seat on the upperdeck window seat. they put econ seats where the frist class is, has a 2-4-2 config, there are storage units by the window seats which doubles as an armrest or to place your drinks on, the toilet is hugggeeee/ basically the size it would be with the first class config but fitted with econ decoration, and when you board, you dont have to wait your turn or queue: you board with the business class peeps at any time often via a lift to the upper jet bridge. one time there was no one on the 2nd section of the upper deck econ, i cheekily asked if i could sit there instead and they let me: so i basically had the whole section for myself and spent my time chatting with one of the air hostess while constantly sipping on G&Ts haha.

I'm crew as well and in training college they told us we can do it on request as well, or if there;s a celebration, honeymoon, etc.. basically kids have priority but if there's extra film we can happily do it for anyone that wants a memory:)

I fly regularly to Australia (BNE) from the UK and make a point to go with Emirates every time, especially for their A380s. Not only is their economy experience better than many Business Class flights, but Skywards Silver Tier is actually attainable only after a few long haul flights. That means you get to cut the queues at both check-in and boarding (worth it alone given checkin procedures nowadays!) but free access to the superb Business Class Lounge in Dubai (with great food, showers and all-you-can-drink Moët and Chandon bar!). I recently flew for the first time in Business Class and OMG! League of its own and better than many First Class! 😍 And no, I'm not sponsored by Emirates, just they have a very effective loyalty program!

I can't agree more. I flew 3 times with Emirates from LGW to MEL in economy way before Covid hit and just did a return and, if anything, it's better. Congrats to Emirates. You looked after me and my mum even better. I can't fault economy class.

I been on the Emirates A380 about 4 times… amazing experience. The best airline in the business… in a class of its own. The crew was always so nice and the design of the interior is perfect. Also, Emirates provides so much more space per seat

When I went abroad for my volunteer service I also flew Economy Class with Emirates. The service and experience was amazing and the whole crew was so nice, very helpful and the food was good. By far the best flight I have taken before.

I flew with Emirates in early January on their 77W SFO-DXB-SFO. I can confirm as well that the ICE entertainment is very great, however, I didn't use it a lot since I was mainly in awe of the views outside the aircraft and the fact that I slept through most of the flight. The meal was very delicious especially the desert as well as the mid flight snack (pizza on this flight, not sure if it is the same on all long haul flights).

This video was a huge bonus as Wife and I booked Sydney to Ireland Via Dubai and we booked the seats you are sitting in. 79 J & K. The website shows the seat has a wall directly on the aisle seat and there is no window when lights are off. but there is one when lights are on. Lots of bickering about changing seats or even going to prem economy for an extra 2K per flight. This video made it clear there is no wall directly on the seat and there is in fact a window.

I am proud to say that I’ll be traveling from JFK to Dubai 🇦🇪 to Maldives 🇲🇻 for Spring Break in Emirates Business Class. 13 hours to Dubai, 2 hour layover, 5 hours to Maldives. That $6000 trip I purchased on Black Friday will cost $10,000 now. I can’t wait. This is my 3rd time to Dubai. I use it as a hub to Southeast Asia. I love that place!!! I always pick the A380. It’s bigger, more comfortable and quieter than everything else.

I’ve just done my first Emirates flight for two and a half years - round trip between Manchester and Dubai, and as good as ever. Excellent value for money, especially if you’re going on beyond Dubai, e.g. Singapore or Bangkok, but even just to Dubai is fine. For those further destinations Emirates is better-priced than anyone else I’ve found and also offers more flights, especially outside London.

I recently flew Emirates' 777 in Economy and Neos' 787 in Premium Class. While I would have agreed with you on the value for money point before my Neos flight, I highly suggest you try the Italian Lowcoster, it really blew my mind. Paid around 800€ for MXP-JFK round trip (turned out to be cheaper than any other airline in economy), there was great service, a good seat, lounge access and fast track. I'd love for them to be recognized it a bit more, give it a shot, you won't find better value for money, I promise!!

I've flown on 10+ economy flights with Emirates on their A380's. The problem with Emirates isn't the quality of the plane, the A380's are fantastic...... it's the complete apathy from checking in staff, cabin crew and their customer service. They smile when you're happy and shrug their shoulders when there's a problem. I'm fortunate enough to fly Business Class these days, but Emirates lost my Business years ago.

I have flown with Emirates on the A380 to Australia and Thailand since 2013 and it has always been great value BUT sadly due to rising prices, I went with Etihad in Jan 2019 to find why Emirates was so much better. I also put it down to seat location as I like an aisle seat with a bulkhead behind me but these seats are extra on Etihad. I also find it quieter near the front of the aircraft. It also helps with quicker disembarkation. Sadly due to a disability, I will unlikely fly with them again as I would need a more direct connection without the stop and change in Dubai from the UK but still hope to fly on the A380 once again very soon.

I'm going on! New York JFK to Dubai in September. Really too bad there is no longer an upstairs economy section on board the Airbus A380 like I believe there used to be. They seem to have refitted the aircraft during the worst of the pandemic. Singapore has done this too. Oh well. I just want to see these beauties survive, no matter where an economy class section is placed. Just thankful I flew on Lufthansa's A380 from JFK to Frankfurt in 2018 and snagged a seat in their upstairs economy. Not a window seat unfortunately, but an aisle seat in the middle section just the same, so I could kind of see out the window a little. Well, by some miracle, if I get a shit ton of money between now and September, I'll upgrade to business class for my Dubai trip and sit on the upper level of the Emirates A380 both ways.

For me Emirates is the best airline in Economy class as well. My very first Emirates flight was in September 2021 from Vienna to Dubai. Emirates crew was outstanding, the picture service was so charming, catering experience was awesome, the A380 cabin provides so much space, the seats are perfect. Sadly the touchscreen of my IFE was broken, so I had to use the remote control which was not a big deal. All in all a perfect experience. Oh and the mango juice is sooo tasty! :D

I don't get all the praise for this. Asiana and Korean Air look to have the exact same economy experience, two full meals on flights (+ mid flight snack) only 8-9 hours long, metal cutlery, and those airlines have more leg room as far as I could tell than Emirates.

flying Emirates for the first time, Germany - Dubai - Singapore and back. have gone back and forth around 30 times but never with Emirates, this time their price was competitive and a handy 20 hour visa free layover in Dubai to get some of that beautiful sun and a good brunch in the city somewhere before flying onwards. am looking forward to experiencing Emirates as have heard good things. flew this route with SIA a few months back which was also superb

It is more the aircraft that makes Economy so good. The A380 Economy for most airlines is better than 777 Economy although I read (not yet flown) the A350 is also very good. 787 depends on airline config.

I flew from the UK to Sydney with emirates recently and my only negative opinion was that the drinks service was slow and they didn't seem to be very generous with giving out alcohol. If I'm on a long haul flight, I would like to have a few wines to knock me out!

I was flying with them in 2016 and had the exact opposite experience. Upon sleeping time they just put a trolley full of drinks, including booze near the galley so everyone could virtually take unlimited drinks. And just before final approach the cabin crew approached me with two cans of drinks I didn't even ask for, just because they can't serve during final approach

for an interrnational flight, the emirates have one of the most restrictive carryon luggage rules. apparently travel pillows and blankets are not allowed as they count toward your carryon stuff. when i was flying on philippine airlines and korean airlines, i could carry as much travel pillows as i want plus a carryon and a personal bag

I was on the EXACT same plane only 2 weeks ago with economy, no complaints whatsoever, fantastic entertainment and fantastic service, only one thing with economy food, I always feel yukky by the end of the trip compared to the standards of business and first class, but it is very much edible, no problem. By the way it was a 17 hr trip, so who knows.

Back in the good old days I flew the original Piedmont Airlines frequently. Any flight over 70 minutes had a hot meal. Any flight over 5 hours had a hot meal and a "snack". Their snack was better than the cold meal most domestic economy classes have for transcontinental meals.

I love Emirates. I went to Iran . They don't have flight from Vancouver unfortunately, so I have to go LA first after to Dubai then to Iran . It was very long flight ,but I really enjoyed it . I’m curious about whether you’ve done a long haul flight with Emirates? My husband and I have flown from Australia to Europe and Africa many times. We have both flown with Emirates, Etihad, Malaysia/KLM combo and Qantas. He has also flown with Qatar. All economy. Emirates are up there with Qantas for me. Etihad not so much. My husband really enjoyed Qatar as well. Malaysia was unexpectedly good - the KLM portion I barely recall due to exhaustion. That many hours in economy is always always rough, and my husband being reasonably tall means leg room is an issue. Etihad’s economy meals were very poor/inedible which contributes to it being our least preferred option on a long haul flight.

I have flown 6 times in emirates economy class and I have flown more than 500 times. For me one of the best experiences ever in economy class and better than european flexi plus, premium or business class in terms of cuality/price 2 A380 (Madrid - Dubai) 1 B777 (Barcelona - Dubai)
