I think Gold Hoarder emissary quests will also give you a Vault Key at the end too. What's crazy is that we picked up a bottle quest in Devils Roar with GH Grade 5 Emissary that gave 5 dig spots on Rubys Fall, and each was an Ashen Kings Chest (Top Tier Ashen) worth about 3800(+5700)=9500 each. That bottle quest alone gave us an extra 45K and it was like 10 minutes to run around and dig.

Accepting Athena emissary quest in the devil's roar is useless. It doesn't give you any ashen loot or ashen athena chest.

Ah yeah, good call. We should have mentioned that. You would expect to get an Ashen Chest of Legend at the end but no dice for some reason.

Did a vault to get 1 captain chest and about 6 castaway chests. Voyages absolutely need changing. Ive been running merchant lost shipments. It seems to be the only voyage awarding the same amount of loot.

Think it would be cool if you were sunk by another crew while flying an emissary flag and managed to hunt them down and sink them before they sell you could reclaim your emissary level. In a world where everything can be taken away it would be awesome for it to be regained as well.

I might have just been lucky with them but I’ve noticed something with the Merchant emissary quest. The first cargo delivery starts with where you collect the quest and where it needs to be delivered seems to be to the same person who gives the second cargo delivery for you to take. This means that when you deliver the first cargo, you can immediately collect the second cargo and sail away to deliver it.

The new Athena's Emissary Quest is now shorter. Instead of 7 dig spots, you have 3 spots to dig 3 veil treasures. The riddle is also smaller.

I know the video isn't about this topic in particular, but with all of the voyage changes in season 11, do you get better loot the higher your trading company reputation level is? For example if i just do a captain's treasure vault at reputation level 50 vs level 100 will there be any difference in the amount/quality of loot?

The Voyages don't change now based on Reputation Level. There are now just a couple variants of each that you unlock as you gain Reputation Level. For example, there are two versions of the Treasure Map Quest. The Pirate’s Treasure Map Quest will have you digging up two buried chests on a small island. In contrast, The Captain’s Treasure Map will have you digging several buried chests on a large island.

Can someone tell me how to activate the quest once you get your flag to level 5? I read somewhere that you go to your faction representative at the tents and they should have an option to accept the emissary quest. I've never received this prompt or option.

I tried an Athena emissary quest and I don't think you can just dump the merchant crates anymore. You have to deliver them before they are counted as complete

Yeah I hate that, it significantly increases the time you have to waste on those quests by adding two additional islands, especially if you’re doing them in the Roar to lower sailing time, the merchant crate deliveries can take you to islands like Kracken’s fall and Ancient Spire.

@@RareThief Nah man, Its 2 bounty, 2 x marks the spot and two merchant delivery missions. You used to be able to just grab them and plop them down where ever the pick-up was and that was good enough, now they require you to deliver them for them to be counted as done.

mine must be bugged. Ive had to travel farther. with my Emissary quests. Had one go from Crooks too Devils Ridge. 'close' but far. & My Athena last island was not small, Smuggler Bay Twice

You should always get a fourth map after you complete the first three. We've never experienced otherwise since the Emissary Quests first came out. That's really weird you never received yours. Hmm...not sure why.

@@gabed1284 That bug is known and is affecting a lot of people so it's not that support does nothing. It's that they're trying to fix it and it takes time. However, the fact that you didn't get a chest of legends after finishing all 4 maps for the emissary quest if weird, the fourth map always had a chest of legends and an Athena keg (or at the very least, i don't remember not getting a keg from the quest)

After finishing the 3 quests that are marked as emissary quests, the fourth map is marked as a bottle quest and many people don't realize that. Must be bugged, but I'm pretty sure it always marks it as a bottle quest when it is in fact the final part of the emissary quest. If you have other bottle quests already it can make it confusing. Just pay attention to what new map it gives when you finish the third emissary quest and you'll be fine. Hope this solves your problem.

Came here because the Mysterious Stranger just will not let me take Tier 5 Athena's Fortune Quests no matter what I do even though I've met the criteria of the emissary. Just same old dialogue. Bug?

That's weird...so you hit Grade 5 and you can't take the Emissary Quest? If you unlocked it, when you approach him you should have two options to interact with him, one to talk and one to claim the quest.

Yep! There is certain loot that you can only get in the Emissary Quests like the Admiral's and Baron's Chest.

I don’t like the fact you can’t lower your flag and keep the quest anymore. That was one of the faster ways to grind order of souls reputation.

Aye, it was definitely nice for us pirates! Apparently though that wasn’t the intended mechanic. There were hardly any Grade 5 Flags on the sea since everyone would lower immediately.

@@RareThiefI’ve always thought that the emissary grade should be based on the loot currently on your ship. Meaning you would have to maintain a certain amount of loot on board to gain the bonuses of grade 5. It would also mean that every grade 5 definitely has loot and any reapers would actually have to risk losing loot to hunt down and attack you. Current system just doesn’t promote healthy PvP. You either attack at rank 1 with no risk, or you get to 5, sell, then attack with no risk. Either way it doesn’t feel good to sink a grade 5 of any emissary only to find out they have nothing but the flag

I’m usually not a huge PvE player, but I think the change where you lose the quest when lowering should be reverted. Emissary quests were always a fun stack :/

Aye, it was really nice to have an Emissary Quest loop but apparently that wasn't the intended gameplay. Perhaps there can be some kind of streak system instead? Like you can keep earning Emissary Quests with your flag raised, and each one you get, the better the loot or multiplier?

i mean grade 3 flags go for a decent amount of gold. you'll get jumped for having a flag considering they're usually the most valuable piece of loot you can claim from sinking a fellow player

It seemed about the same to us. Just less loot to find and carry around which made them faster. And even though there was less treasure, the treasure being worth more evened it out.
