I had this friend (keyword, HAD) right? Little backstory. I'm a lesbian, he's a straight man. So, first of all, he was SUUPER creepy whenever I'd send him some of my art, always making really gross sexual comments about it and stuff, and I'd tell him off and he'd just get super pissy and all. But that's not what this was about. He asked me out plenty of times, even one time going so far as to say "if you ever find out you're not a lesbian, im open yk" like.. dude, fuck off? And the absolute best part about this, is he claimed to be progressive. He'd talk about how he wasn't misogynistic and respected womens' choices, and then would turn around the MOMENT he was rejected or broken up with, harrass the poor girl to no end, and go on this whole rant about how "waaah im hopeless waaaah all women suck waaaah I hate women waaaaaaah" I remember this one time, he came to me (I have BPD) about how to "deal with someone" who has the disorder, so he could date a girl. I gave him some tips and advice, and when she broke up with him because he was IGNORING SAID ADVICE AND BEING A COMPLETE ASSHOLE, he'd turn around and call her things like bitch, cunt, not to mention "fuck women". Anyways, I blocked him promptly because he doesn't deserve a kind and heartfelt explanation, and I didn't feel like being guilted and manipulated into feeling sorry.

It's truly sad to see that so many people don't understand the order of operations when it comes to relationships. Generally, if you're looking for a sexual partner rather than a potential friend, you'll usually end up with neither. But if you look for a friend, you have a chance at ending up with both. The healthiest relationships are when the couple are best friends. So make all the friends in the world. One of them will be your perfect match. And this is literally why so many women take the approach of "looking for friends" on tinder / in the dating world. They innately understand this.

Friendships turning into more are such a wounderfull way to grow closer with people. And having this internalized by itself while meeting similar thinking people can also go chaotic ways from hookups over to mutualy realising that a friendship works way better with years of keeping contact. The love of simply getting to know people goes a long way.

I remember meeting my first ever real incel(s). First day atthe university, we kinda start our classes. It was like over 150 boys and apparently 6 girls. Obviously I started talking with one of the girls. Were able to hear from others guys "what are they doing here" as "omg, girls" along with some "ew, girls here" lol. Understandable u dont go all in and talk with everyone but maybe dont do such loud comments like this. Anyway, one chubby boy (kinda looked like a young teen, still with acnes, no signs of beard, short enough to be on my bust height - no shaming, just describing) came closer to us and introduced himself... In quite long way. Dunno how but in 3 ppl conversation in 5 minutes he went into topics like virginity, sex, how he wants a virgin girl over everything, how he would treat her, especially in bed, etc. If it was a text convo, he would definitely use asterisks. Week later he asked me out. I had (and still have) problems with transport, as I live in a village outside the the city and struggled everyday with getting back home. He asked out to go to cinema and dinner he'll pay for. Problem with transport? No problem, let me put u in a car with 5 other unknown to me guys so they will get me to my home. I only said I'm not interested in relationships rn. Which was true anyway. He had the audacity to call me bitch and continue that on uni's forum on fb. And whinne how "new girls" are bad and bitchy, lol.

Well that went out the window when we started talking in private and I suddenly understood why he couldn't get a girlfriend to save himself. He was SO painfully creepy and awkward towards women when he liked them, and any hint of unreciprocated feelings sent him into this self-deprecating-yet-outwardly-aggressive shame spiral. It was fucking wild. Noped right on out of there and found out that this was just how he was with girls and that he was a major incel. Dodged a bullet I think but I hope he got the help that he obviously needed, think he wasn't very mentally well.
