In all fairness, he said they just graduated high school, so everyone may just be in the busiest time of their life making final preps for college and whatnot. My HS friend group basically went dead silent from about the first month before graduation until we were all settled into uni (which took about 6 months, give or take based on the person). Then, once we got into our new routines and weren't stressed/busy all the time, it picked right back up and we were all thrilled to talk again.

@Topaz Pie Eh. To some, it's just a genuine human need, like thirst or hunger. You can satisfy it yourself, sure, but there's no intimacy in that. Some people also crave that kinda connection with their partner. If things aren't going well, however, or if you ask for it too much, it becomes tiresome, more like a duty or chore. ❤ THANK YOU! I have been trying to hammer home the point that "female" works only as an adjective, and is both really creepy and dehumanizing to use it as a noun.
@75ur153 жыл бұрын
It is literally both, as is male, it can be used as either and nothing dehumanizing about using the literal meaning of a word when it bears no part of meaning for or against humanity. We are also animals, as mammals, is that dehumanizing? I will grant you there are contexts where a word can be used to belittle or dehumanize someone, but women is worse than female at that, ie "Hey women get over here." Would be dehumanizing more so.
@elhazthorn9183 жыл бұрын
@@75ur15 "My best friend is female" sounds more natural since it's used as an adjective to describe a person, whereas saying "my best friend is a female" as in a noun almost sounds like you're describing an animal or something. It's more suited to use "male" and "female" in say... impersonal situations, like the medical field or statistics, or when it's demographics, and is used in a purely matter-of-fact way.

The guy who called out the guy who "forgot his alt account" was actually the guys alt account, he is also the one who posted it to reddit, everyone in that screenshot inluding the guy who posted it in the subreddit is the same person, and he did it to get more views on the video.

That highschool friends one hit close to home. I had a best mate that I knew since grade 1 and we stuck together up to a few years after highschool graduation. I got him a job at where I worked at the time by politely asking the HR lady to look at his resume first since I knew he was beyond qualified. Found out a couple months later from the cashier I was friends with, NOT him, that he was quitting because he was moving across the country with his girlfriend and her family.

I'm very glad I'm lucky enough to have true friends. If you ever are in a friend group, then think about if you can share your concerns safely without restraint to atleast one of the people within the group. If someone is willing to listen to you speak your mind about your concerns, then they are a friend who will stick with you. Treat others with care and respect, and try to be the one who people will approach for help. This is cheezy as all hell but be kind, be compassionate and you will naturally end up with people around you who actually care for you.

I used to talk and flirt with the nerdy dudes in school because they actually treated me like a person and not an object but they were all so clueless and never flirted back or asked me out. They were nice and didn't try and grope me and actually talked to me like I was on their level even when I was having them teach me how to play Magic or stuff with school work.
