15:45 Medieval peasants also had to put in a ton of extra (physical) labour on their everyday chores so that meme's outright BS. Ever tried to do the laundry by hand or clean your house without a vacuum cleaner? Ever had to make and mend your own clothes? Ever had to brew your own beer, make your own tea from gathering herbs, or tend to your own yard garden in addition to all the field work every spring and autumn? Ever tried to cook a meal for a whole household on an open flame? It's a LOT of work.

Also there’s a difference between their legally required work for their lord as a serf and their de facto required work farming their own food. Some peasants only worked for their lord a few weeks a year. The rest of the time was spent farming the common land so they could eat. If the lord *didn’t* give them enough time to grow and harvest their own food, the peasants would revolt or starve or both. Enclosure meant that peasants spent all their farming time working for their landlord, but got paid instead and thus had to pay for their food instead of growing it themselves.

It took me about 35 minutes of searching whilst debating on whether I should give up and go to sleep, but the random late-night curiosity always wins in the end lol. And for those who want to know, apparently it’s called Height Vertigo which happens when there’s a conflict between vision, vestibular and somatosensory senses. Another source I found says perspective can play a big part in that and create an overwhelming feeling even if you yourself aren’t at a high elevation, and apparently sensory overload can also create a similar feeling which I found interesting

Because it’s usually when a lot of people are buying Halloween costumes, so I get the stores selling them at a discount so they can more easily get the Christmas stuff out by November 1 with minimal extra inventory. But that’s a very thin ice thing imho, and many just ignore that rule entirely- my target that I work at started to put up their Christmas stuff October 13 which is just plain insulting at that point.

Someone who breeds sacred animals for Sobek would breed crocodiles. Good luck with which god/goddess you pick!!! 17:06 I just wanna say that the marketing and advertisement for this movie absolutely sucked ass or non existent.. I didnt hear about it until I saw people raving about how good it was and this is probably the sentiment for 90% of people your saying that "didnt go to see it despite wanting original movies". the reason for the horrible or nonexistent marketing is that too many people in production thought it sucked because they got proper criticism during production and thought this movie will flop because of that as such they didn't prioritize marketing it, that or the criticism pissed off some executive and shafted the advertisement and marketing. Most movies that are legacy and remakes are flops because they produce it without proper criticism during production every opinion is taken seriously and no proper vision is formed because its a hodge podge of multiple people's visions of what the movie should be and criticizing or removing those part will get you the ire of those people which could cost them their jobs.

Immortality together with some reasonable regeneration and all your friends and (good) family wouldn't actually be so bad. AKA.: you and your buddies all go on one giant mission to become Pathfinder Liches. They don't need to eat souls to survive, and PC's can even become one at 12th level if the have the Book of the Dead. It's even speculated you don't have to be evil to be a Lich! Really, apart from maybe the initial ritual, which only really has a personalized sacrifice differing per person as a constant (can include sacrificing time and effort in an adventure), there are virtually no downsides! Especially if you do it with enough or more people, and they take the "Mask Of The Dead" variation, which makes you look like you did in life. Which essentially just makes it so you, and everybody you know if you want (recommended for sanity), becomes an immortal, extremely powerful creature. Regaining a body if lost, needing no food, needing no sleep. Any death will be solved within 10 days if their phylactery is undisturbed (and even if it is, they're not fully gone, Demi Liches still exist, and I'm not sure, but they could possibly even return). It'd be 100% a superpower. And I wouldn't mind it much I don't think.

That's incredibly messed up and sad, but also most films back then that had a lot of animal cruelty in the background. There was a children's film around that time about puppies and/or kittens going on an adventure or something, and if memory serves they ended up killing like a hundred animals in the making of that film. One monkey is honestly not that bad in comparison to others of its time. It still made me sick to watch that scene, and I had to look away to not throw up, but comparing it to modern standards of animal cruelty in films is a little unfair all things considered.

17:11 it's the marketing. Is 1000 percent the marketing. I had no interest in seeing it because from the advertising, I thought it was some typical kids movie that was mostly Goofy and I was not interested. The only reason that I'm interested in seeing it now is because of the insane word of mouth, and I only hearing it from word of mouth because I'm in the circles I'll be hearing it. From the vast majority of the population that's not online all the time, that would just see the ad and nothing else, they would quickly write it off. The advertisements are really leaned into the slapstick whatever and I know they're trying to hide the deeper story but they needed to hint at some of the drama and action scenes or something. 1,000 % is the marketing that dropped the ball.

Honestly the Teenage Ghost was way more of a villain in the Beetlejuice sequel

but if you remember Beetlejuice had the least amount of screentime out of everyone in his own movie

I have a theory that is we all just stop being Christmas stuff until after Halloween, they might stop putting it out so early. Most stores near me have Christmas stuff set out in mid August.

gonna be 100% honest, as a florida man i have found that the weather channel is wrong 9 out of 10 times when it comes to all the most recent storms. their radar was showing that the storm was going more east, to the point where we were not gonna get hit but with outer bands.... the storm bulldoze right through my house. the most recent storm should of hit more south, instead it hit more north.

6:47 I call bullshit on him not getting any compliments If is, I demand a change immediately I’ll start with a compliment, Robin is my favorite person in Emkay and I always laugh at his reactions, I also like his sense of fashion
