Keith is an amazing deckie. He's already showing so much strength and I can definitely see him replacing Gary as Bosun (time for Gary to go). It's hard to comprehend how Emma is taking anything Keith is saying as criticism or as an attack. She needs personal help and this isn't the season for her.

Emma should not be on this boat, she needs help with her self esteem. She speaks really badly about herself and she has different versions of interactions with others - a warped perception. Hope she doesn't spiral

when a person complains, half of the solution is how you react to the complaint. So when a guest complains about a stain, show empathy and then offer a solution. It's frustrating for a customer when they don't feel heard, and need to be the one to suggest a solution.

Ya know, I had a lot of empathy for her up until this point. I can tell she is shutting down; likely due to past traumas that resulted in a really low self esteem. She talks about that a bit. I get that. But she is feeling really bad about herself and taking it out on him. Every mistake she make results in her hating herself more and she just projects it all over everyone else. I wish Gary would reach out and talk to her and ask her what she needs and be a bit more patient and guiding. But I have never seen so many clips of a worker on below deck smoking and having cups of coffee and chilling (maybe I’m wrong though; I’ve watched a lot of seasons over many years). I also have had a bad self esteem before and have worked really hard to love myself more and project less. I’ve learned, if I’m struggling like this, the best thing to do is to communicate rather than shut down. If you’re in a good environment, people will be there to give you a hand.
