Emma Frost is not dumb, she is assertive, intelligent, wise, and cunning. Her personality is strong and there is no way she should be under Sebastian Shaw. She is nerfed in the movie so badly. 😢 She is a born leader.

She would have had to kill Shaw in order to stop him from being a threat and I doubt she wanted to do that. He wanted what she wanted in a war. At full potential(nuclear)he is the strongest mutant. Even Xavier could only eclipse him with Cerebro. Once Shaw got the telepath shield it was over and proved her concerns over him as a threat and confirmed as a strong ally in taking down humanity. So by this outcome we can suppose she WAS choosing the most calculated outcome. (Although they did dramatically objectify her which is a Hollywood problem.

You’ve clearly not read the comics. When Emma Frost was first introduced in the Dark Phoenix Saga in the 1980s, she was originally a member of the Hellfire Club and didn’t join the X-Men roster until 10-15 years afterwards. Emma was known as the White Queen and was second in command to Sebastian until he married Selene Shaw who later became the Black Queen.

Some iterations of her character the diamond form was like a layer of skin and others it was like her entire body internally and externally would be composed of diamonds. It’s technically a secondary mutation which is quite rare for mutant telepaths so the way it works has changed in the comics

Diamond is actually quite brittle, due to its carbon structure not being able to bend. This means that diamond is not very good at absorbing and distributing kinetic energy. It behaves more like obsidian, rather than a moldable metalic substance like copper. So, yes, diamonds make a poor armor in general, because its molecular structure is prone to easily crack.

Magneto wouldn't have been able to break her diamond form like that. That's what I hate about the movies: They don't follow the comic book rules and logic and than wonder why fans don't like it. Same goes for killing Darwin. Darwin can't be killed he can survive anything that's his literal power. The movie makers seem to be unable to handle the comicbook reality.

Fyi she weighs 600 pounds and has superhuman strength when shes in diamond form. Her fingernails also become as sharp as a diamond blade cutter when shes in diamond form. So tackling her down and restraining her while shes in diamond form will not be easy. Fighting her in her diamond form is like fighting a full grown polar bear that cant be penetrated by bullets. The movie didnt give her that justice.

I'd take out Rogue and put Emma Frost instead. Rogue's storyline is pretty much done with the original trilogy plus her powers being used to build sentinels in Days of Future Past. I don't really see much more that they can do with Rogue unless they explore her romance with Gambit. But that's also already been done, albeit with Iceman in the original trilogy.

How strong is Emma? I mean she blocked Charles with just her own telepathy, no "special machines" no boosters, no nothing, just a 1v1 telepathic brawl?! Is she powerful enough to do something like this in the comics? Also, one thing I loved about this incarnation and a think should be in every incarnation of her is the whole diamond motif, not only on her clothes, accessories and makeup, but also on her telepathic powers, like when she makes Magneto remember his trauma with her mind blast you can see crystalline patterns around the borders or with her mind shield that is literary like a crystal shell, this was an AMAZING decision that could be taken further, for example when she creates illusions they could form as if a crystal is being formed and whatever they are dispersed they would shatter, idk just speculating. Whoever thought of this and giving mystique that weird scale motif was a genius and deserves a raise.
