Roger, thank you so much for the work in preparing and translating this for us all, I've seen little snippets of the concerts, but this really brings it together, and also very much serves to remind us that Emma is not living a normal life, she literally battles every day with gastroparesis, and it's hard for her, but she is determined not to let it define her, she delivers incredible performances, every time she goes on stage, this event must have been a huge challenge for her, with an afternoon matinee, and an evening performance, for her to take this on is a clear indication of how strong her drive is to succeed, and in this she absolutely nailed it, the end of 'Show yourself', that was a special moment for both of them, the duet was sublime, it's hard to realise that there's 10 years difference in their ages, Emma's voice is so strong, so powerful, and incredibly good, and the two of them together are a beautiful match in every way, that was so impressive, I'd like to hope that we might see the two of them together at her October concert. From Emma's comments, and the comments made in the interview discussion at the end, I am going to say it very clearly, and it seems to be even more important, Emma spends at least 22 hours of every day, sometimes longer, attached to two feeding pumps that are her lifeline, but she's clearly having a hard time of it at the moment, she needs her foundation to have some success in finding either better treatments, or in the perfect world, a cure, which will free her from the restrictions and mental pressures of being excluded from meals, and unable to be spontaneous with so many aspects of life, she rarely talks about the negative aspects of the life she has to live, or the huge discipline she has to force on herself in order to have the energy she needs to deliver the stunning performances that she does. Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) donation to her foundation, which can be found at gastrostars.nl Donations from people like us who really do like her performance will be a huge help with their work in researching this awful illness that is so limiting on her life. The feeding pumps are the size and weight of a small boat anchor, so even physically moving around has to be carefully planned, to avoid stressing her, and reducing her energy reserves, even to the extent of using a wheelchair to make sure she's not over exerting. With the quality of the performances she's delivering at every appearance, I for one really want to see her free to perform more, and spend longer on the stage at each appearance. That's only going to happen if her foundation can change the outlook for her, European fans can make donations to her foundation and get tax relief on those contributions, please if possible, lets see if we can raise enough to help her foundation do even more to find the way to set Emma free.

Fantastic stuff Roger. Hard to believe Emma is not yet 17. Did Andre realise how true he was when he named her a 'Podium Beest'!

I have just published part 1 of a long video charting Emma's career to date. I was unable to include everything I have else it would be too long but it clearly demonstrates that, despite her young age, Emma has served a proper stage apprenticeship. I can't imagine what it must be like to walk out in front of 15000 people and have to stand alone and deliver any kind of performance. She just strolls out as if its her house. She just lives to be on stage, a stage beast she definitely is. I saw an interview with Emma's mother (that I think is in part 2 of this new video) that made me laugh. Nathalie said something along the lines of Emma being calm and confident and loving to be out there. Then added but she sits in the audience or watching backstage on monitors with her buttocks clenched the whole time. 😆

Hi Roger, and thanks. I noticed two news, similar, that she published a note that she is not being well. I tried to find her note on her channels but didn't find any. Can you dig deeper? kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3i6o597f6mfa68 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYaWZ4aKZ6p_rbc. Stay well.

The comments in the links you provided are about right. Emma did an interview during the Disney In Concert shows where she described normally being able to eat small amounts but now can eat nothing solid at all. This has to be in context though, Emma could only ever eat tiny amounts for taste.
