I have watched this interview many times (I am Dutch, so I can understand every single word). And again you nailed the translation. Head off!! They are all so inspirational. It is not only Emma, but listen to André Rieu. Like Emma, he is an example for us all: yes, he is famous and has lots of succes with his orchestra for more then 50 years now, but he remains such a caring human being at the same time. And his "Johann Straus Orkest" (60-75 musicians, depending on which event they have to perform) is a private orchestra (one of the largest in the world): completely independent, no subsidies.

@@JaapFilius I think Andre Rieu is underestimated by some; not me. He kept all his staff employed during the Covid pandemic when they couldn’t tour. He clearly adores Emma. 👍

Roger. congratulations again on putting a good translation on to this video, it captures so accurately the wonderful way that Andre and the orchestra have taken Emma under their wings, and are encouraging and nurturing her wonderful talent, and it's become very obvious in recent months, as she's taken on new songs, and shown us that she is totally capable of delivering top class performances of technically challenging songs, and she's doing it with total confidence, and supreme skill, and as a result, she's delivering stunning performances that are thrilling audiences around the world. What makes it even more stunning is that when this was recorded, she was still only just 16, and Frank was not wrong when he described her as 'An old soul', even if he did have to explain that comment for the benefit of some of the people there, it was very clear that Emma has made a huge impression on the entire JSO, it's very apparent that she is very much accepted as a part of that organisation, and has succeeded in achieving her dream, she no longer wants to be a singer, with the huge success that has become hers since that first performance of Voila in July of 2023 went viral around the world, she IS a singer, and so much more than just a singer, she is a connsumate professional who has risen so much higher than that, but with all the success, she's retained that wonderful open and outgoing personality that gives her the drive and will to encourage other young performers to seek to see their dreams come true, as she is appearing with some on Dutch Television over the Christmas period, the mark of a REAL star who has not lost track of where she came from, and the help she had to rise up that ladder. With all that success, she's still tied to the feeding pumps for 22 hours a day, that awful restriction and limitation on her life has not yet been resolved, and it's a massive pressure on her life that limits what she can do, and how long she can perform for each day, while in theory she can be free for 2 hours a day, there are days when she has to go back on the pumps after 30 minutes because her energy reserves are dangerously depleted, an awful pressure to have to live with. Emma's foundation can be found at Gastrostars.nl I appeal to all the readers of this thread, if at all possible, please join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, set up with her winnings from Ministars in 2024, in the hope that their work will produce a result that will free Emma from the daily tension and pressure of her life experience, that would be a wonderful result that will give everyone that follows her a real lift and boost to hear that she's been freed to live her life without the restrictions and regular pain that she's endured for so many years, if that were to happen as a result of help from her followers on KZbin, that will indeed be a wonderful outcome.

Emma has a busy Christmas. Concerts with Andre last Friday, Saturday and yesterday (Sunday). This week in Amsterdam rehearsing for Disney in Concert. Thursday she is on Dutch TV (although recorded last Wednesday). Next weekend 3 more Andre Christmas Concerts. Dutch TV again on 30th December. Then 4th January Disney in Concert, then rehearsals for the first date on the New World Tour, First show in the Ziggo Dome on 11th January. Wow!!

This young woman is a champion, more than a survivor! She is such an example for all of us! She let nothing stop her! She is making the best of what is there and doing it so magnificently and at the same time having to push through her own struggles, but trying to bring joy to others in the meantime!
