Thanks so much for sharing these! Emma is so amazing and inspirational for me. It's so wonderful that she has found a way to turn her struggles into something of transcendent beauty. Now she shines so brightly (dancing on the stars) and touches hearts around the world. (I live in Hawaii, on the opposite side of the planet from the Netherlands.)

Thank you Roger for showing us the 'dark side' of Emma's life. Of course, there is not always sunshine in everyone's life, but there is also a dark side. But the contrast is particularly clear in her case. On the one hand the brilliant, celebrated star, on the other the desperate person struggling with life. As she said when she announced Dancing on the stars: 'When I finish singing my song, I will go backstage, and I will be the girl who has a paralysed stomach. But right now I want to be the girl who is dancing on the stars.' Two sentences, two worlds.

As difficult as some of Emma's blogs were to listen to I appreciate it because they motivated me to donate again to Emma's foundation and focus on the positive outcomes Emma is currently experiencing, which seems to be mostly joy in living her dream. Thanks again, Roger. 🙏

It breaks my heart that someone who struggles so much and tries so hard is bullied and treated so poorly by insensitive fools. I can’t believe just how strong and amazing Emma is to be able to handle that and even though it was rough for her, she made it with a positive attitude. She is such a strong warrior and super talented. Bullies should be kicked out of school or made to apologize in public.!! Millions of people already love you, Emma not just for your talent but for your strength of character. Everyone also recognizes how beautiful you are.

@@lintangkencono3514 yes, I’d love to sit down and have a coffee with Vico and Nathalie and ask them about their life with their three children. It’s magical and emotional for us outside observers but for them it must multiples of that. If I was Emma’s Dad I would crumble every time I watched her sing. ❤️

When she leaves stage her mother connects her back onto the feeding tube that is keeping her alive. She remains on the feeding tube for approximately 22 hours each day! She hopes to some day to remove the tube, but at present there is little chance that will happen!

@ I saw Emma’s announcement for the Concertgebouw immediately. The venue ticket system allows you to choose a seat, a check a photo view from the seat. I did a few but each time I refreshed the page I could see lots of now unavailable seats. This was 15 minutes in. So I just grabbed 2. Out of interest I kept looking back at the live seating plan. It was insane how fast they went. After 2 hours there were a few single seats. 3 hours nothing. I was lucky. ❤️

@@user-wc8oi5ng1i You will love them all, I can assure you of that. I had watched Emma so many times on KZbin etc and I thought I was prepared. However, the atmosphere of the live event, the build up, the quality of the sound system all meant I was totally unprepared. I could hardly breath for the whole time Emma was on stage. It was like she was reaching into my chest and gripping my lungs. It was magical.

I agree that the voila performance in Malta is just as beautiful as the maastricht one but Emma seems to put even more emotion into it which I wouldn't think was possible. Now we have 2 solo versions to enjoy AND the Emma and Helene Fischer version. We are blessed ❤

Where do you find all this footage? It is fantastic! Deep respect for all your work and effort. This family is so talented. Passion for music is clearly encouraged in a very positive way in this family. Deep respect for the parents Nathalie and Vico. I don't know if they fully grasp what they've achieved as parents or know what the impact is on millions of what their children do. A remarkable family for sure. @@RonaldvanSteensel I actually forgot to put the final clip in the reel which was Vico sitting backstage watching Emma singing live on one monitor and watching Enzo on live TV at the Oskar Back Prize concert on another screen. What an awesome moment for a dad, at that moment he must have grasped the enormity of his and Nathalie’s parental achievement. At least I hope so 👍

@@TerriWilson-bi3pj Yes, you are right. They do it quietly if they can. I only found out about Enzo’s violin from a small ‘thank you’ footnote in his bio. You may have seen in another of my videos that the Rieu family funded foundation ‘Future Music’ presented 120 children with violins for their own use while they are taking lessons. They put on a show at the Vrijthof Theatre for the children’s families. Pierre Rieu was there, orchestra members were there, Emma sang with them, it was fabulous. ❤️👍

Yes, it is a great a credit to their parents for supporting their dreams. Sadly I forgot to add one lovely clip to the video. Father Vico sitting back stage at an Andre Rieu concert watching Emma singing live on one monitor with Enzo performing at the Oskar Back competition on live TV on a second monitor. He said he didn't know what to watch, so watched them both. Must have been in dream land!
