With this victory, Navarro became only the sixth woman in the past 40 years to reach the U.S. Open semifinals without a prior win in the main draw.

I love Emma, and I think she will have a great career. She has a big disadvantage tho, compared to past multiple champions. Her "disadvantage" is she's from a very wealthy family, and may not have the hunger, and desire that former champs have had. The Williams sisters, Monica Seles, Steffi Graff, Maria Sharapova, all from very poor backgrounds, and they had the hunger and desire to rise above it. Will this prevent Emma from going the distance and digging down deep when times get tough ?? Can she overcome this disadvantage ?? I guess we'll see. The last girl like this was Genie Bouchard from a very wealthy family, and she fizzled out.
