I don't know what the backstory is that lead to the Qinwen incident. Maybe there's some legitimacy to the matter. But until I'm aware of more details, I'm going to say that Emma should've confronted Qinwen privately behind the scenes rather than making an issue of it on the Olympic stage. It comes off as poor sportsmanship on Emma's part when the public isn't privy to knowing all of the details.

It's Navarro's brain that makes her special. She keeps her head in matches and just keeps her opponents off their game. As far as the Zheng comments are concerned, she said it and she should explain herself. I thought Zheng handled this awkward situation very well. I've never seen her do anything questionable so I believe anything Navarro questions about Zheng can probably be put down to very different cultures.

That’s a fact, because in tennis training and lessons mean a lot. It’s not like other sports. There is a huge cost to get to the college or pro level. You don’t see many rich kids in sprinting or in the NFL. Tennis is different. I’m not saying they don’t have talent. They are immensely talented. More than 99% could ever be. But they started on third base for sure, and they didn’t get only three outs, they got unlimited outs.
