What sets her game apart? Martina Navratilova said in commentary that she has the best return of serve she's ever seen, excepting only Serena. That means she has chances in almost ever receiving game. Add a solid serve (I think she gave up 9 breaks in 10 matches) and you have an intimidating, demoralising game for any opponent to handle. But that's not all - she has a high tennis IQ and the skills to implement her strategy. I've seen the interviews, and all ten opponents were beating themselves up because they felt that they hadn't played their best. This is because Emma breaks up their normal patterns and won't let them develop any rhythm or momentum. By the end of the match they are bemused and running out of ideas. I'll be disappointed if she doesn't become a dominant #1 with a nice collection of slams by the time she's done. She has the tools.

Yes! I watch her matches so many times! The way she crushes opponents is amazing! Towards the end she completely breaks her opponents physically, mentally emotionally! Look at the sheer power of her arms and her shots! If you see her strength training routine it is just scary!!

The important thing for Emma now is to get the best sports medicine to stay injury free until her body finishes developing. If she stays injury free she will be a great champion no doubt about it.

One the stand out out things for me about Emma was it looked like she scared to fail. She looked like she was never to hard on herself. Long may that continue.

I'm as delighted as everyone else to see Radacanu win the US Open but I'll be VERY interested to see if her renewed mindset copes next time when she is a set down and a break to someone in the future. I'm sure it was that which caused her panic attack on court at Wimbledon when she knew she was losing control and the dream was fading quickly. She didn't lose a set this tournament which sent her confidence through the roof. Can't wait to see her one day fighting back from behind rather than leading from the front.....THEN if she overcomes that mental challenge (which I think she will) I reckon we really do have a new superstar in the women's game!
