Here are the actual lyrics, since Devonne Arnaz has no clue what she's writing. (spoken) My aunt used to live in Paris. I remember she used to come home, and she would tell us stories about being abroad. And I remember she told us that she jumped into the river once. Barefoot. She smiled. (sung) Leapt without looking And tumbled into the Seine The water was freezing She spent a month sneezing But said she would do it again Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make She captured a feeling Sky with no ceiling The sunset inside a frame She lived in her liquor And died with a flicker I'll always remember the flame Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make She told me A bit of madness is key To give us new colors to see Who knows where it will lead us And that's why they need us So bring on the rebels The ripples from pebbles The painters and poets and plays And here's to the fools who dream Crazy as they may seem Here's to the hearts that break Here's to the mess we make I trace it all back to then Her and the snow and the Seine Smiling through it She said she'd do it again

Clearly, she didn't get permission to upload the song from the owners. This is technically in violation of YT's licensing terms, but the publishers haven't reported it yet. The full album is available to legally stream on Spotify and download from iTunes. It's another example of someone pirating music for personal gain, in this case, channel and video views. I have close friends who worked on this film, and it's unfair to the work they put into it to have it pirated.

@freeguy777 жыл бұрын
Jocone, I just saw the movie earlier this afternoon (now almost midnight Sun. Mar. 5). Emma was terrific! She makes you look at her in every scene she is in. She just keeps getting better and more experienced and growing as an actress, a comedian, and now a dancer and singer. Only 28, she should be a leading actress for the next 40 years, if she stays in the biz that long.

1:50 - 2:12 I remember being in the theater watching this part of the song, seeing her delivery and expressions and poise in her singing. And I thought "this would be the perfect clip to show at the oscars". Because god damn it, Stone deserves to be nominated for lead actress. I thought Birdman was her best but oh no.. this is her best work to date.
@caroloonfloon7 жыл бұрын
Mitchell Murray This scene alone earned her the Oscar in my opinion. I was absolutely floored by her inflections in the singing, the rawness in her voice, and her heartwrenching expressions. Such a powerful scene. Amazed this song wasn't nominated for Best Song honestly.

It's the expression on her face from the moment the producers spoke to her outlining the role she knew she had her break, finally, and searching for the story to get the role and then delivering it! You can see her confidence grow as the song progresses and then as she utters the last word "again" she looks astoundingly vulnerable, so brilliantly delivered. I want this song to be played when I go!

7 years ago I came to LA with a bachelors in film/tv and not much else. I struggled for quite awhile...interned here and there...took just about any odd job I could...even moved back home to NJ for a year before I realized I was unhappy anywhere else. I came back to LA, and now I'm writing for Riverdale, a really wonderful new TV show on the CW that has been renewed for a second season. The point of my post is La La Land is not a fairytale -- there are thousands of brilliant men and women here to prove as much. It takes a lot of determination and effort to succeed here, but dreams DO come true if you want it bad enough..

I saw La La Land on December 27, a few hours after the world learned that Carrie Fisher had passed away. I felt heartbroken all day until I saw this film, and when Mia described her aunt and sang this song I couldn't help but think of Carrie as Mia's late aunt. What a terrible, inspiring, sentimental, gut-wrenching day.

There's a difference between spelling errors and just entirely the wrong word. Girls = ripples? Puppets = poets? The correct lyrics are available with a quick Google search. This is super low effort and bad.

Why watch it then? This video is an expression of Devonne's love for this song. That's all. You have a problem with that - move on. People like you criticise others to feel superior and then passively expect someone else to make the right video. Do it yourself, larda$$.

As a artist myself this song was the thing that made be cry in the theater. It's pretty touching and moving. I've never felt such powerful feelings of passion, sadness, happiness, and just utter heartbreak that sometimes what you love doing is not or might not ever be understood or appreciated. My aunt used to live in Paris. I remember, she used to come home and tell us these stories about being abroad 이모는 집에 오시면 해외에 떠나살던 얘길 해주곤 하셨었죠 and I remember she told us that she jumped into the river once, barefoot. She smiled... And tumbled into the Seine 세느강에 뛰어들었데요 The water was freezing 물은 꽁꽁 얼 정도로 차가웠고 She spent a month sneezing But said she would do it again Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make 우리가 만드는 엉망진창 속에 사는 이들에게 She captured a feeling 그녀는 그 순간을 기억한거에요 Sky with no ceiling 끝없이 펼쳐진 하늘을 The sunset inside a frame She lived in her liquor And died with a flicker I'll always remember the flame Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make 우리가 만드는 엉망진창 속에 사는 이들에게 She told me: 그녀는 제게 말하셨죠 "A bit of madness is key to give us new colors to see "약간의 광기가 우리에게 새로운 세상을 열어주는 열쇠란다 Who knows where it will lead us? And that's why they need us" 그리고 그게 우리가 필요한 것이란다." So bring on the rebels 그러니 반항적으로 되어봐요 The ripples from pebbles 저 파도에 조약돌을 던져봐요 The painters, and poets, and plays And here's to the fools who dream Crazy as they may seem Here's to the hearts that break Here's to the mess we make I trace it all back to then Her, and the snow, and the Seine 그녀, 그리고 눈, 그리고 세느강 Smiling through it 미소를 지으며 내내 She said she'd do it again
