i absolutely love the way that she wants to get on jeapardy on account of her own merit rather than relying on celebrity status of any kind. it's extremely admirable to me because as she says, while there are obviously some contestants who are genuinely smart, you basically get to bypass the process and by contrast, she just wants to work hard and make it in on account of that alone. "so what" it's clear she doesn't think being a celebrity makes you entitled and it's refreshing but i wonder if she knows not everyone who passes the test gets in though because they randomize who's selected out of those who do pass 😭 she said once she practices every night and you can tell she's extremely intelligent so i'm sure she has passed. would be very cool to see her on there one day !!

it’s INSANELY easy. like way easier than college or high school jeopardy. i see why they would make it that easy though - most entertainers aren’t using what they learned in school often enough to remember it for a televised trivia game (a lot of them didn’t even go to school) and they’re playing for charity so of course we want them to get the questions right.

emma has diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder and has said she's more comfortable around friends (i.e. mark) but that generally interviews and press equate to her overthinking every word that comes out of her mouth. she's not intentionally trying to be inauthentic. she simply is an extremely anxious person and it's unfortunate how often she's misperceived because of it.

❔🤔 Isn't "Here's Johnny!" the iconic Jack Nicholson line from the film adaptation of the Stephen King story "The Shining," dir. by Stanley Kubrick?
@TSIRKLAND8 ай бұрын
In a manner of speaking, yes. But it's not "from" there. Nicholson said it because that phrase was famous from the Johnny Carson Show. Think about it: the character's name was "Jack." Why would Jack say "Here's Johnny"? Because he was quoting the popular catchphrase from the popular late night TV show. But "The Shining" has lived on as a film that many people have seen. While Johnny Carson is fondly remembered by many who experienced him in his prime, and even known to some folks like me who weren't around, but the ephemeral nature of television being what it is... So the line in the horror film lives on, while its actual source fades away.
