@puirYorick6 жыл бұрын
@@laurahinrichsen3917, it falls to the producer and booking agent to be aware of that sort of thing. It's exactly the kind of specialized knowledge that I'd expect from a booker. Emma has loads of past appearances with multiple interviewers to judge by and she's known to be sharp, witty and a great spontaneous conversationalist. Someone dropped the ball again. Colbert didn't even extend an invitation for her to return on-air as Carson or Letterman would've done with a similar case. T.V. has become so "corporate" all the employees are afraid to execute their roles with any sense of personal authority. How often does Stephen seem terrified that his power cable will get yanked mid-show if he strays from whatever was written down in show prep? His *edginess* even seems carefully manufactured. He needs to allow his native talent some freedom to grow and improvise and interact more naturally.

WarriorPhantom8482 It’s just nice to see role models for not wearing them so girls can know they have a choice as they grow up. Heels can be painful, make it hard to walk, thro off the alignment of hips and spine, over shortens some tendons while over stretching others. Some women love them anyway or don’t mind them others suffer them because they’re considered dress code for women. It should be optional.

Fun fact, historically high heels were a male fashion statement. It started out as what can only be described as "military chic," where the upper class of "gentlemen" would wear boots with heels to affect (i.e. pretend) they had a military cavalry background. Most of them didn't of course. The lords of fashion being what they were and boots being not particularly suited to courtiers in a palace, these became shoes with heels. The heels then grew taller and taller as a sign of status, although not to the extremes women wear today. Once these high heels became entrenched as a male fashion statement, women's boots and shoes followed suit until everyone was wearing tall heels on their shoes and boots. Eventually the fad for men's shoes with heels declined, more-or-less concurrent with the decline of horse cavalry as a military force in most of Europe. However women's heels not only remained, but began to evolve into the extremes we see today all on their own.

So much charm and charisma that I feel so little only by watching on a screen, can't imagine meeting her in real life

"It'd be like looking at the back of Voldemort's head" .... I love when Stephen uses nerdy metaphors to describe real life issues.

"I don't know! He's... he's weird!" Emma Thompson sums it up short, sweet, and so simple even pre schoolers get it! Thank God for Emma Thompson! Lol

@@Ernie1978 tsk, what is this ! a competition? why do you have to ruin the vibe , the wonderful extended delightful moment, to find something/ someone to piss on. keep it to yourself. i was so enjoying the all around flow of positive vibe. they are two different extraordinarily talented genius artists and strong beautiful woman, who, each in their own way, give us the excellence of themselves to our delight, entertainment, enlightenment, inspiration, and appreciation.

She's thrillingly intelligent, and hilariously funny. She omitted the line she used to describe the Trump encounter, which she also described on the Graham Norton show back in the UK. She thought it was one of her friends "having a laugh" and told him to "f-k off." What a giggle. She's great!
