And then hermoine with her big teath and bushy hair. Bill, tall handsome and charlie, shorter than Bill but with strong arms. The 4 actors that were cast in these roles didn't fit the description at all and it was such a let down. You will notice that if you check the net worths of British stars that are no longer active and considered “old news”, they are still worth just about as much as they were in their prime. Not like over here in the US where you see that somebody who put out a bad album, or they don’t/can’t get leading roles anymore, you expect them to be broke, and they really are. Not so across the pond. Daniel Radcliffe is worth £95M pounds which is over $120 million, and he was a child star. They all were, and they really managed to keep their funds as opposed to falling victim to the “celebrity disease“. It's because Britain has "class" which you can't buy and culture you can't bypass. It's considered extremely poor taste to spaff your money up the wall on nonsense and rather than demonstrating social capital, it betrays a lack of attention to what matters and a lack of self-respect. Alan Rickman complimented Daniel Radcliffe by stating he should become a producer or director. Those jobs are much harder than acting. Good for her. Many women left Hollywood for good reasons. And the British acting community is much more flexible and small enough for her to come back later.
@Saeiyu6 ай бұрын
To be fair, she has a lot of money not only from her movies but from her brand deals, fashion ambassador, etc. But I think the main reason she is stepping down is because she is the least talented of the trio. She is an okay actress but only because her early success made her a household name worldwide and she had the chance of 8 movies to learn to act from the best actors in the UK. If you compare her acting to Daniel or Ruperts she still falls short and never really diversified from the "Hermione" type character (Bookish and sassy) while Daniel and Rupert have thrown themselves into the craziest roles they could find as well as other HP alumni who show up in theater, cinema, sit coms and other acting gigs. She seems more successful because her acting gigs are always big projects but she hasn't really matured as an actor and the public that grew up with her is bound to catch up at some point if she keeps doing basic love stories.

@@mald379 - Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint can act. Emma Watson cannot, and was always the worst of the three. Rupert was naturally the most talented, but Daniel actually matured into the best actor of the child cast. It is why he has the most successful career as an adult. It is impossible to typecast him, at this point, because his roles are too varied.

Her acting shows her personality. She is well educated promoting literacy in young women. She wouldn’t accept a movie role of a stripper dancing on a pole, or a killer, or someone stupid. There are not too many roles for female librarians, so she’s better doing what’s best for her.
