Emma Watson was just nine when she was picked out of a line-up of would-be actors in her school gym to star in a film that would change her life in unimaginable ways. Twenty years on, her Hogwarts days far behind her, Watson is one of Britain’s most bankable stars - not to mention an influential activist lending her voice to causes like gender equality and sustainability.
Ahead of her return to the screen in this December’s Little Women, the actor sat down with fellow activist Paris Lees to reflect on her extraordinary journey so far. Watch the video to see Watson talk candidly about life in the spotlight, turning 30, and the thrill of working with Meryl.

In a world full of talented hardworking artists who never get a break, and where tens of thousands of homeless suffer in LA alone, let's make the spoiled egotistical tax-evading Emma Watson even richer! She obviously cares so much about female empowerment since she has 80 million while skeletal baby girls starve in Yemen.

I really like Emma, but she needs to think one step longer. Trying to benefit transgender is not good. If others dont want to go to the toliet after a transgender were there, you have to accept their opinions/actions. What if i decided to have a Monster-mask on my face before i go into a toliet, and then cried my eyes out because people didn't want to go in there aftwerwards? You have to respect if they didn't want to go in there, after i was in there.

Your profile aint even indicative of your true self. You can spread rumors you know. It doesn't matter. If you're telling your version of truth. Did you really think it'll spread like a virus. How presumptuous of you, so conceited. If she's faking it, then who cares, she's living her life, and if she doesn't please you. It's fine. Not everybody has to be favorable to everyone. Everyone can be egocentric on their own selves. But yeah. Just say it.. Spill...

That is so great reading how one person can inspire a member of the next generation, and this is exactly why Emma Watson is doing what she is doing, even though it's a great burden on her. She seems to be well aware that she is luckier than most but her's is still not an easy life, in ways most others can't relate to. That she feels the responsibility to use what she has for good is just a blessing for the rest of us. Because we need inspired future generations that want the best for all humankind, and all beings, so they can pass that insight to the next ones. Yola devam, kim tutar seni.

Do a good job, give to society and recieve in return. What she promotes (what i think she promotes) is something id consider to be obvious, but it seems like it is not. "She has enough money, so it doesnt hurt her" is kind of the argument against your claim, shed do it for the money. Anyway, why does beeing generous mean you have to get hurt? Gosh I could listen to Emma talk all day. Really enjoyed this discussion 👏 All for open conversations about relationships and *love* Emma's term 'self-partnered', but it seems like a pity that of all the other thoughtful, insightful moments in the half hour, her dating life (which doesn't come up until the last 3 minutes and 5 seconds) was chosen for the title.

I like Emma, but she needs to think one step longer.

Yep. The comments here are a woke echo chamber. She seems like a lovely person, but she is naive and the bloke interviewing her is using Emma's innate sense of compassion for his own agenda. He is not being excluded; he can use the men's bathrooms. What about the actual biological women who don't want men in their bathrooms, for a variety of reasons, where is their space, how about their feelings of inclusion and safety? I frequently come across men who present as women in my place of work and treat them as individuals like anyone else. But forcing your way into women's bathrooms while playing the victim card and manipulating people's compassion is neither down to earth nor honest.

@@1alwaysdreaming785 Everyone has problems. You think that being famous and rich solves everything? No. Humans are humans. People are emotional beings that experience feelings, sensitivities, and insecurities as we do. Be more empathetic.

I didn't say being rich and famous solves everything or that people like that don't have problems. I said they don't struggle like everybody else. Especially Emma Watson who's been so pampered and privileged her whole life she had a meltdown because a local store wouldn't open early for her. Do you think feeling guilty and going to therapy for getting such a big role is something to cry about? Get real. Experience and see the real world. You wouldn't believe what most people who don't have her privilege have to deal with. Its not that I don't have empathy I just think the way some people prioritise her feelings, experience and thoughts over others just because she played Hermione is ridiculous

@@jackgreen5627 firstly, I want to apologize for possible mistakes, the thing is that I'm not an English native speaker, just trying my best to learn the language. Secondly, I don't understand your point, sir, cause she earned her money like everyone else does and she's not supposed to spend everything on charity. If a famous person speaks about important problems it's a huge thing already, because it makes people think about it and some of them will definitely change something, even in their minds. I mean, look at us... Right now we could be doing something else, but we're discussing the topic of Emma's speech. I believe, people like her are incredibly important.
