Am I the only one who does not have children but sucks in each bit of information from theses podcast like a sponge? Immense thank you Gi for having the courage to make something as wonderful and eye opening for the already existing mums and the one day truly hopefully future mom.

these podcasts always make me so emotional, I don't have children however the thought of women pulling other woman through their toughest times just makes me cry! Women are amazing and I would love to one day be in a position of caring for somebody like an MCA, were all incredible!

Yep I was one of those women who tore front to back. It was first and only child so i thought it was "normal-ish". I had hyperemesis through the pregnancy and it all left me with terrible PND for 2 years really... My son is 3 now and he's perfect and we're all happy as a family now. Strangers will occasionally try and guilt trip me into having a second and I honestly just laugh with zero guilt and say "I have suffered enough". Anyone out there with a similar story you will feel fine again!!! Just give yourself time, talk it through and love yourself each day. Everything else will grow from that feeling ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing episode you two together phenomenal!!!! I would just like to say the midwife that helped deliver and care for me after my daughter passed away had been threw it herself she cried with me and made the most awful gut renching experience of my life, I dunno what the word is she let me grieve let me know it was ok to do so and held me while I did it. I wish I'd got that amazing ladies name but in the moment I just didn't register I hope she knows as all the midwives and nurses and doctors carers everyone we may not have the strength or be with it enough to say thank you but we absolutely love you and shall be enternally greatful what you do. Thank you Gi for bringing every aspect of being a woman/mum/carer/parent a voice xxxxx

Omg her birth story sounds so much like mine! Especially related to her when she mentioned the trauma but thought it was the “norm”

You know what I tore from front to back. The full 4th degree tear and as it was my first I thought "ohhhh it's normal to be in surgery for hours afterward hohoho and to have physiotherapy and have to have help when I poo....." I was such a nob!! 😂 I suddenly got really bad PND when my baby was about 5 months old and it didn't go until his first birthday when a midwife friend of ours said "ohhhh Jess you had a REALLY shit time didn't you, I was just telling so and so!". It suddenly gave me the power to admit to myself that yes it's called "labour" but I had a damn hard time and should give myself a break and more credit for what I did! Us mum's eh 🙄❤️

The emergency c section episode sent me into flashback and fainting when the Dr was pouring pre med down the mum's throat 😵 I'm not at all squeamish, normal sections don't phase me but them rushing to knock her out put me right back on that table
